English League

Please Help!!!
I spent ages updating all the squads and their formations for my option file but when I start an English League all the teams are retarded.

How can i start a league so all the teams like they should be. My Charlton team should start with Darren bent upfront but instead it's Bartlett!!!

I've spent so long doing this, so anyone's help will be much appreciated.

Firstly make sure you start ML mode after you've made your changes.
If it still happens, it's just due to the CPU making strange choices for picking players so you can't do anything about it.

So I have to start a ML even though i just want to play the english League??

Sorry if I sound dumb!!! I understand the bit where the CPU might be selecting those rubbish players but even when I start with my team (Arsenal) i don't have the right formation and squad that I selected in the editing mode.

I guess it goes default when you want to play a league, never had that before though. So whenever you play a game, your edited team goes defualt or something?

Yeah! pretty rubbish! I spent ages creating this seasons lineup and formation for the Premiership and i find out it was pointless!

A thought just came into my head....

When you are in the Master League, if the game you are playing has a snowy pitch, does the computer automatically select the Orange ball??

yes it does. and if yor using a patch that has moved the orange and and replaced it with a white ball it automatically picks the white ball!

I say: Do You mean in the Champions League? I think you mean Roberto Soldado. They might not have known about him. He's a spanish youth player for Madrid.. date of birth 27.05.1985. Scored in Madrid's 2-1 win over Olympiakos in the Week.

I'm a little confused.. My question is this.. When Winning Eleven 9 was released how come konami didn't include the new promoted teams and why leave it until PES5 comes out? :unsure:
Does this mean that all Winning Eleven Series are behind with transfers but surpass the previous PES in gameplay? E.g new in game additions.

No, it doesn't. The computer either picks a ball at random or it loads the ball you choose in the Match Settings.

By the way, you can only use the snow pitch in the Exhibition/Match mode. So therefore, you can't use the snow pitch in League mode and the Master League.

This is because when WE9 was being programmed; WBA, Norwich and Southampton were all still in the Premiership at that time.

So I suppose you could say that the Winning Eleven games are outdated by the time they are released. But, the gameplay is always updated and tweaked from the previous PES game. If you compare to the previous WE game, then yeah, the transfers and promoted/relegated teams are always updated in the next WE game but not quite what you'd expect.

WE9 is really just a gameplay update. Nothing else really.

I can't remember mate, but the way I found out was by:

Pausing it and going to Command List.

Tells you everything you need to know in the 'Command List'.
