Winning Eleven Heaven

The news which you have all been longing for (deep down inside anyay). Konami have finally taken note of some of the superb patching work which has been going on in the past few months. Recently, a "patched" copy of Winning Eleven 6 Final Evolution was mailed off to Konami Europe in the hope that they would perhaps take notice of the quality of the patched game. And to the surprise of the sender... a reply was obtain... and it did not say that they were going to sue the patch makers, but infact that they agreed that KCET (the Konami team behind Pro Evo) should try to reach the heights of the patched copy. Konami of Europe have since sent to the copy of the game onto KCET.

No more details are known about this, but knowing that Konami have seen what they could do with the game, is surely great news to all concerned.

(i just posted this on the main site and copied it over.... incase ur wondering why the grammar etc. is right ;))

But konami will only realise that they could make the equivalent of a patched version with the real lisences etc? or were you thinking something about edit mode etc?

They haven't said which one yet as they're busy being upset that ISSExtreme is getting the credit for it and not them.

yea mate, its an absolute disgrace that issextreme got in the magazine. i mean all issextreme got is a goal gallery and a couple of "tools" in the dteng section. i've already written to opsm2 complaining don't worry.

Some of the evo guys have acknowledged issextreme's part in creating the tools, without which it may not have been as easy to
make the patches.

The guy who sent them the game should have made it clear so maybe it's down to him.

Easy on dissing issextreme, mike's not going to like it!

it aint dissing.... im sure he'll agree that evo-web deserved more of a mention especially in the context..... "to find out more check out issextreme.com" ..... people are gonna be disapointed when they get there to only find a goal gallery arnt they. if they got directed to evo-web by the magazine people would of been able to easily find out about patches etc.

I think issextreme has a lot more than you're saying.
They have one of the best guides on applying patches in the mods section.

But I agree that evo deserve to have the credit so maybe someone should open a thread at issextreme explaining the situation and directing people to evo-web.

nah they wont do that... i wouldnt do it if it was pesinsight that got mentioned :) issextreme probably got the mention partly because of their affiliation with soccer gaming

Its good to see that people recognise that evo-web deserve the credit :).

OPSM should have got the messege by now, seeing as hundreds of people from evo-web have supposedly emailed them about it!

I would join in agreement to say that Evo-Web do deserve credit, I think we can all agree on that. I'm just thankful that Konami took it in a good way instead they could have decided to open a can on us, it looks like it did turn out for the best but it might not have gone that way.

I don't know about pesinsight but although there is always a bit of friendly banter and whatnots between extreme and evo, there is still mutual respect and we have no worry pointing people to whichever has particular pieces of information.

I too would like to find out which patch it actually was, and if it did originate from evo-web then it is probably likely that the DTE-NG tools were used.

I'm with Zygalski on that the person should have made it clear if indeed he was seeking recognition. And just try to find out about patches on evo-web, they get asked so much they will either say "use the search" or something highly amusing, it ain't easy being a patching newbie over there.

mike, i send people off to extreme and evo all the time... especially when ppl ask me about patching stuff, cos i just dont have much of an idea about it really. i mean obviously my goal is to take pesinsight and make it as popular (forum wise) as extreme, evo and pesfan.... but if theres something sum1 wants to know, and i dont know it, i dont hesitate to send them off to sumwhere else :) im happy to help

Maybe mike and tim could moderate a mods forum here?

Copy the answers to basic questions and put them as stickies or something.

Description of patches, what is X-Port and so on to save hassle later.

thats a great idea... infact ill make a thread right now titled "newbies pleased read".... and if i miss anything, or whatever, someone else can add to it any newbie info which may be useful

When I started reading that I thought you were being sarcastic!
Well, the first line looks like it is :D

How about a goal gallery here?
(Not like ISSExtreme though - something where you can choose to view AND download the goals)
