It is with regret that I am announcing the closure of this website.

I have always tried to serve the community with patches, help and whatever else I can offer. I have never asked for any payment in return despite having to pay out of my own pocket to host patches and supply the bandwidth required which for the month of February was 90GB. All I have ever asked is that people could occasionally click on the affiliates to help with maintaining the costs of the site.

Since opening, this site has had over 4,000 visitors a day and in total has used almost 300GB of bandwidth. Have a guess how many of these "users" have clicked on the affiliates...

Try 72!

That's right, out of over 4,000 visitors a day for almost 3 months, many of them downloading the patches from the website and chewing up the bandwidth, I've had 72 people (and most of those probably the same small group of people) who have been kind enough to show some respect and thanks by clicking on an affiliate banner.

It's sad that in a community this large dedicated to the PES and WE titles that there are so many moaning leechers who want something for nothing, probably never bought the original game in the first place and then get crappy when you don't deliver more free stuff to them. Well, I've had it in serving a selfish community of people who bitch and moan about every patch that comes out like the world owes them something. If they could get off their asses and do something, I'd understand it but from now on, any work I do will go to the people I know and trust who have supported me, not the faceless scrounging leechers who give nothing to nobody.

What do you guys think about this. It's very bad it is closing down. Is there anybody out there who is willing to host WOLF's files?

It's a shame, and bandwidth is a major problem, when the site gets popular... I suould know. When I started hosting popular PES3 pc, video files etc. I was getting hundreds of hits a day...until in the space of a few weeks, the badwidth went kapput, and believe me, it IS costly to get extra bandwidth. It's a great shame, and I hope that there are some decent people out there, who could be willing to help out Wolf. Can't say I have downloaded any of of Wolf's patches, but I know he's worked hard to get us what those patches and updates, and it is true, that he wasnt asking much for a few clicks on his affiliates every now and that to help keep his work alive.

It's a sad state of affairs when you're forced to do this to stop downloaders from leeching you dry.

The only other way I suppose would be to ration your own hosting and only offer the patch to others if they agree to host for at least a certain time span.

I only just checked your site this morning looking around for a suitable options file editor.

To be honest, if I'd downloaded the file I probably wouldn't have clicked on an affiliate link, or even thought of it unless the links were set up to force me to do that in the course of downloading. If it did, I'd hardly be bothered - people do have to balance the books.

What proportion of hits or downloads also hitting an affiliate page would you need to cover you?

Somebody get this man a host!!! Or should it be a lucrative pop-up advertiser?

I think it is a pity it turned out this way.

The best patches ever made for pro evo 3 on the pc are gone...
