This is how your PS2 PES4 can look if you use jonboyo's latest patch.

(Expect a rush of people into the General Editing and File Downloads section )
To get these kits into your game, you need a chipped or modded PS2 and be able to follow patching guides. I'm going to write a simplified guide in the next day or so (in the General Editing section).

Zyg I beg you PM me on how you got to download it. I've been trying to download Jonboyos,SunJun's and OLE's patches for WE8 for well over a month now and i got WE8 at launch.I now JUST got PES4 and can finally see all the text i've been reading in English now(phew...) Please help a struggling mate out. Over at EVO I'm having a lot of trouble getting to know anybody that has a usable ftp (for anyone in the US)like me.

Is this for the PS2 version and can be transferred by X-Port?

x-port and max drive only transfer option files to your memory card. Patching involves you burning a new patched image of your game onto a DVDR or CDR.

All the download info you need should be in this thread. Download the main patch using Bit Torrent and then the update and all the other info is in there.

Anyone want to choose any more teams? It'll be more worth the time if it's a bunch that needs to be done.

If you patch the game to Cdr does it change the graphics and anything else in the game?

The patch changes what the maker changed. Read the thread for the patch to see a lit of the changes.

WOW!!!!!!!

OK first I managed to download JonBoyo's WE8 patch 12.09.04 plus updates to 26 and have to say it's incredible. This thing eats Fifa for breakfest with it's licensing(yes I am very new to patching). Everything's there except Legia/Warsaw(which I wouldn't expect many to care about ) but, I'm extremely pleased and happy. Well worth the wait and if this game came originally like this would easily be worth a hundred U.S


But then I got JonBoyo's PES4 patch without the new update od 20 to 26 (because of the database) and it's every bit as good.

both are identical in some way,kits stadiums etc. But I do have to say that WE8 DOES have a slight advantage because of the slowdown min. patch included in it, which makes PES4 when playing it make it more perceptable to it's tearing and slowdown in and around the box.

Either way WE8 and PES4 fans owe it to them selves to somehow get these patches.

And look what I had to do...use a Mac

It's much easier to mod the PC version, with the right programs you just drag and drop kits and stuff.
Is there anyone I could pay to send me a fully patched up to date PES4 for PS2? I don't have the equipment to do it myself.

It is illegal, unfortunately. But it still happens alot, so.

Disadvantages are hardly. If your PS2 is chipped, lifes a heaven, another alternative is a flip-top lid or slidecard with Swap Magic Discs. My slidecard has been active for a good 14 months, although i'm having a new laser fitted in my PS2 just because it's brand new and for free .
Only obstacle is your laser dying, which i've only heard to happen after a year or so.
