^WWE 12 is awesome. Seriously it is very good. It does have some annoyances here and there and some stupid little things, but overall, the matches are really good and the way EVERY match ends is really great. Outstanding work on the way the matches end. It is the best part about the game. The matches always end very wwe style. I like that.

I would pick this up over pes and fifa any day of the week especially over fifa. I am not comparing games, as I don't ant a war, BUT I am pointing out that I am having fun playing WWE 12. Much more fun than fifa 12 (played it for a day and almost broke the disk).

Oh and the AI in wwe 12 is much, much better than previous games. They do think about what move they'll do, even though some reversals by the AI feel a bit scripted, YOU CAN REVERSE BACK at least. Anyway in my view everyone who played a wrestling game before should definitely check out wwe 12.

Just been playing WWE '12 for the first time then and thoroughly enjoyed the cinematic nature of the matches. This is the first time I've played a wrestling game in probably 5+ years.

I decided to choose Daniel Bryan, facing Dolph Ziggler. I lost the first two matches - although the first was due to submission of which I wasn't sure how to escape from originally. Both of these matches I lost in under 10 minutes. The third however I won. After dominating most of the match with offence, I began D. Bryan's flurry of kicks to Dolph's chest while he was on his knees, before attempting the LeBell Lock, of which Dolph broke quite quickly unfortunately. I immediately caught him with the brainbuster suplex though for the 3 count - winning after 6 minutes.

I've not altered the difficulty, so I imagine it's on 'Normal'. I'll probably have a few more matches though before really beginning any form of career mode. I want to really get comfortable with the controls first.

With regards to the downloadable content from the WWE Shop - how has everyone approached this? The WWE '12 Fan Axxess sounds appealing for 960 Microsoft Points. Everything in the Shop currently at 80 Points each equals up to around 1040 when bought individually. However with Fan Axxess for 960 Points, it includes all content released, and all content soon to be released (including Macho Man Randy Savage etc.) It's just that by purchasing the Fan Axxess option, I automatically have access to all unlockables which you would otherwise have to earn through playing the game. Whereas I would ideally like to unlock these the normal way, through hard graft and playing - there's a sense of satisfaction in that.

I was just wondering how everyone else approached these unlockables, and the content available to buy, and whether you guys have any advice to give.

I unlocked as much as I could, than I bought the fan axxess.

You have the peoples edition?

It's just I want some of the content now - such as the Superstars available for purchase (which I presume can't be unlocked through playing the game). These are the likes of Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, Trish Stratus, Vickie Guerrero, Kharma etc. Like yourself though, I don't want all of the unlockable content right now, as I want to play through the game to unlock what I can. I don't want it all given to me straight away.

I haven't got The People's Edition brother. Play.com sent it, but it got lost in the post - and it's no longer available as it was only being produced for a short period of time. So I've just got the regular edition with The Rock download. I'm happy with it, but having The People's Edition would have been real nice though, especially given how much fun I'm having with the game.

I had a few more matches - me being Jack Swagger, and my opponent being Zack Ryder. I won both encounters. I'll keep it on Normal difficulty though while I still get more comfortable with the controls.

Hunter, if you buy fan axxess, you have to download every single thing, so you still have the option to unlock things through the game.

But saying that, you may as well buy the things you want rather than the pack, as it'll probably come out cheaper.

I bought fan axxess and unlocked everything straight away.

I'm really enjoying Universe mode. A lot of fun when you get feuds going on.

Thanks Joel brother, I appreciate the response.

I'll buy Fan Axxess I think, I've got more than enough Microsoft Points, and I can see myself playing this game for a good while - even if I just dip in and out of exhibition matches for the next year or so.

It's brilliant that we can edit existing WWE Superstars and Divas' attires though - to update them of course over the months. I've already went through most of the characters, editing attires. :D

No worries, man.

On the superstar threads topic: http://wwe12threads.blogspot.com/

That's a website/blog that gives you forumulas for current or pass attires.

Thank you so much again Joel. :D

I'm winning at will now it seems on Normal difficulty - although I'm still having great fun. I'm dictating the matches, but trying to keep them quite realistic too, so it's a nice little challenge.

I've just played with Sin Cara there (in his white/gold attire that I've made for him), and he's definitely one of my favourite WWE '12 Superstars. He's so much fun to use.

I've a quick question though - is it even probable to win a match via submission. I see the Breaking Point pop up, but no matter how rapidly I press the face buttons, I can never seem to pull off a victory using a submission. I've recently been using Ziggler, but have had no luck whatsoever with his Sleeper finisher.

Yeah, Sin Cara is a load of fun, man. I've got him and Rey as a tag team and they are my tag champions in universe. Gonna have them feud with Air Boom.

On regards to submission; I've never won via a normal one, only finishers. What I do is make sure the opponent's specific limb is red. So if I'm Dolph, I'll batter the oppoenent's head before locking in the sleeper.

I have spent so much time in create a wrestler this year and I have 2 really good ones. But anyway, I haven't tried all wrestlers yet but I finished all road to wrestlemania stories. They are much better this year too, much more believable apart from the part where there's a story where you play with your caw. BUT it was still very fun.

My favourite wrestler in the game has got to be Cm Punk. I've got his moves down to a T and every match that I make, it ends up being very, very realistic.

If anyone wants help on how to do every move or want to check out every wrestler's move set, go into creations - move set and in there you can view every wrestler's move and it also tells you how to execute it. That's where I learned all the moves from. IT IS GREAT HELP.

I am still playing WWE 12 up till now and every time I play it, I really enjoy it like it is a new game because all the matches have variety if you know the wrestler you're plating with and the universe is awesome.

Yeah, I was using the limb target system in my last match against John Cena (I was The Miz).

Is there any way to get onto the announce table? I know that we can prop up our opponent onto the table, and I was just wondering whether there's a way to put them through it.

Nope, you can't get on the announce table. For some reason they took that out in one of the previous SvR games. Annoying.

That's a bit silly, and annoying as you say brother.

Nevermind. I'm having a real good time though playing WWE '12. The gameplay is just so damn good - so far anyway. It seems to be very solid.

I've downloaded a few created Superstars from online; Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, classic Kane, and also the newly masked Kane.

I don't think you can edit the attire of these downloaded Superstars though can you? I know it's possible to edit their physiques, but I couldn't seem to find a way to edit the attire and alter the attire colours as some were a little off.

Depends whether the person who has uploaded the character/arena/story has set it to editable.

Ah right. At least the option will be there for some characters.

I might just take note of Billy Gunn's appearance stats and re-make him myself, altering the attires. I adored his character growing up, along with Road Dogg, so having them together tag-teaming on Raw Is War will be really sweet.

I'm just so impressed with WWE '12. The possibilities just seem endless - and as I mentioned before, the fact that we're able to edit pre-existing Superstars' attire is the icing on the cake. It's going to allow us to keep the game up to date for the most part.

I've been working quite a bit this weekend, but I'm off for a whole week now, so I'm going to have an awesome time with all of my Christmas goodies. :D

I'm settled into bed right now with my cat, and we're watching Bret Hart's 3-DVD set. It's been really interesting so far, from watching a ladder match between Bret Hart and Bad News Allen from 1982, to highlights of The Hart Foundation. I'm so looking forward to unlocking Bret Hart now on WWE '12. It's going to be great cause for celebration. :)

Is the newly re-masked Kane a DLC for this game gents? I'm looking forward to playing this solidly once I've finished up on Saints Row: The Third.

Judging by the posts so far it seems to be the most engaging of the series, well the most engaging since the halcyon days of Smackdown on the PS1.

I think it's highly unlikely that re-masked Kane will be DLC - at least in the near future anyway.

All is not lost though as there's a few decent looking attempts available for download. I was quite impressed - the only downside being that the gunmetal mask he wears over his new red one can't be implemented - nor his vintage music (I don't think).

Overall though, it's a solid alternative considering I doubt he'll be added as DLC. I imagine THQ made all of the Superstars prior to release - or the vast majority, and have merely split up their DLC releases to rake in some extra cash.

But you're right brother about it being a good game though - or seemingly so anyway. I say 'seemingly', because I've only been playing it for 2 days now. I haven't felt this way about a game in a good while. It sort of reminds me of the older PES titles - in that the gameplay was great, but so was the edit mode, and as such, hours and hours could be spent in either - or both! I was up until about 4am last night fiddling about in WWE '12 - despite needing to wake up about 7:46am to get ready for work. I never usually play games so much thesedays, but I'm finding myself spending hours at a time on WWE '12. :D
