After around 400 matches online and only the odd disconnect (to dirty cheating b**tard's) all of a sudden I get presented with this message when I try to play MLO.

***You cannot play this mode due to restrictions placed on your connection by the Networking Devices you are using.

You can only play 1 vs 1 (Ranked match) in Quick match.

The issue may be solved by connecting your hardware directly to the internet or by configuring your networking device such as your router.

Apply DMZ, Port Mapping, NAT Table Configurations and other router settings to your XBOX 360 console. Individual hardware systems may use unique terminology. ***

Like I said above i've already clocked up around 400 games on MLO and haven't changed any settings at all.
My Xbox is wired directly to my BT Home Hub and all other wi-fi devices are swithced off. I'll admit my broadband speed aint that fast but it hasnt been a problem so far bar the odd bit of lag, and if it were how come i can still play 1 vs 1 quick matches but not MLO??

Any help would be nice.

Phew it works again!

If it helps anyone in the future found this on konami support section, somehow I'm back up and running and i've not changed anything.

"If you receive an error message that you are unable to connect to the server, it basically means that you have one or more ports blocked on your internet connection. They can either be blocked by your Internet Service Provider, or if you are using a router, modem with router function or firewall software. We cannot recommend the usage of W-Lan or websticks. If you use one of the mentioned devices in order to connect to the internet, please switch to wired connection in order to improve the connection stability and speed. If the Router you are using is compatible with UPnP, please make sure that the UPnP function is enabled. Please disable any firewall/antivirus program on your pc. Also disable the Router?s Firewall function and make sure you the following ports aren't blocked by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and are open on your router (refer to the Router Manual in order to this): Please also ensure that DMZ is activated. PC: TCP: 80, 44, 4000-4200, 6112 UDP: Auto mode: 5730-5739, 6112 Manual mode: It is possible to set any UDP port number from the "settings.exe" in the Konami Start menu folder. PS3: TCP: 80, 443, 5000-5200, 6112 UDP: Auto mode: 3658, 5730-5739, 6112 *default is 3658 Manual mode: It is possible to set any port UDP number from "Port Settings" menu on the "System Settings" in the PlayStations main screen. Xbox360 TCP: 53, 80, 3074, 6112 UDP: 53,88, 3074, 6112 * based on the Xbox Live port information http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908874/uk?sd=xbox"

What has changed in your network since this happened? What has changed with your ISP since this happened? I assume you've reset all your connections (Modem, Router, 360), so something must have changed.

Personally, I used to have intermittent issues and have had nothing since going the DMZ route. I understand that you've been playing successfully for awhile now, so if nothing else works and you have no answers for me in the above, then we may need to switch something on your end.

that was quick

Yeah, not really sure what was wrong with it had an hours tinkering before I posted up on here doing the usual rebooting, checking wires were plugged in etc. After checking all the ports and settings on the router were ok I booted it all back up and hey presto it worked?

Still can't understand why I could play 1v1 online but not MLO but thanks for the reply m8.

It is happening again
Maybe it's a BT Home Hub thing. I'm on Home Hub, on ps3, wireless. I often get this message. Sometimes it happens when my internet speed drops (as it does for about a week at a time... damn BT!). I can't be arsed faffing around with the settings on my ps3, so I just leave it.
