I dont know if this has been posted but i've come across a weird problem with Pes 2009.

Loads more weird stuff is happening but hopefully that gives you an idea, the whole match im playing has gone haywire so its basically unplayable, i hope the next match i have will be back to normal.

Last pic looks like they're lining up for a free-kick & if you see them in the top-left corner in the 2nd last pic they also look like they're lining up for a free-kick.

All I can suggest is what you said, try another game & see if the problem persists
