X-Port & Max Drive File Convertor

You can either use an X-Port or a Max Drive - both work on ALL PS2s.
Or you can burn the option file to CD and load on a chipped/modded ps2.

I've got a little problem:i've got a PESFAN file for PES 4 on the PS2 that i've updated as good as i can(using an file editor) and i'm wondering if theres any way i can convert that file in a xbox max drive file(for pes 4 obviously) ? will that converter(talked about on the first page) be able to fix my problem ?

Not sure what you're trying to do. Please state which version of the pesfan file (ps2, xbox, pc) you are talking about.

This convertor is for converting PS2 x-port files to ps2 max drive files (and vice versa) and that is it.

the pesfan file that i have is the PS2 version i've edited it abit using an option file editor and now i'm wondering if there is a way to convert that exact pesfan file(PS" xport file) to work with an xbox max drive
(hope thats a bit clearer)

No you can't. Why not download the xbox version of the file?

i suppose thats the best thing to do, i only asked because i'd spent a while doing my own modifications to the PS2 option fiel since around christmas to now

ok i unzipped it and did what you said but when i put it in max drive is says WS????????8?????? and then for the icon it shows up Xport it's not supposed to do that it's supposed to have the WE8 icon????

Want to slow down and explain exactly what you did and which files are involved?

OK mate - will see if I can explain as I am having the smae problem.

First of all I am using latest version of Gangsta patch with the 1.1 and 1.3. I am using Action Replay Max to try and get the option file back to memory card.

First of all : I used the X-Port & Max Drive File Convertor to convert the BISLPM-65788WE8IOPT.xps to a .MAX file. I am saving the resulting conversion as BISLPM-65788WE8IOPT.max.

Max memory identifies this file as WS?????????8LE????????? (524K). When I uncrush this file it has the XPORT logo in the browser nad the filename is exactly as above. The mem card file is also 1294k the same as orig XPS file.

Alternatively - I have the ScorpsWE8LE2[1].0 [MAX DRIVE] save from the Gangsta thread - unzips to ScorpsWE8LE2.0.max. Max memory again - identifies this file as Ws with all the question marks as above. When I uncrush this file once again I get same results - odd filename and does not work with WE8LE.

I am new to all this and thought I would just have a bit of a play - and I have not had chance to read all the way back through the threads .... so please dont flame me straight away...

just tried this one as well :

ScorpsWE8LE2.0 [MAX DRIVE].max. Again in the PS2 Explorer - the filename is WS load of Kanji characters 8LE and then the rest of kanji chars. It has an XPORT logo.

When I go to Options and Load option file - I am getting nothing at all.

When sending the max drive option file to your memory card, use the Uncrush option.

X-Port to Max Drive Save:
Press File, then Load .xps Option File.


Choose your option file you want to convert.


Something like this should come up


Press File, then Save .max Save as Max Drive Option File


Then choose were to save it to...


This method can also be used to save .max to .xps, very easy!

Whats the difference between a Max Drive File and a X-port? Because I don't really know what a Max Drive File is?

X-Port files are .xps
They only work on their own device unless you convert them.
