I recently downloaded an XBOX patch and it was crap! Rather than spend hours downloading another potentially crap patch; this thread shall be used to assess the pros and cons of each patch, and which is the best.

Dario-X patch
Pros:
1. The sponsors, flags, emblems and stadiums look authentic....excellent
2. The stadium sound effects and team chants are realistic....great.
Cons:
1. If u start a competition with 2,3 or 4 players, save it, come back to it some time in the future.... u will only be allowed to continue the competition in 1 player... pathetic.
2. The nets on the patch are hideous... some are multicoloured, some are chunky and if u r really unlucky u will get a multicoloured chunky net.
You are unable to choose what type of net u want.... ugly and sore on the eyes.
3. Most of the edited players look abismal....didnt realise Maradonna was black! the classic england team is totally unrecognisable!...naf.
4. the player and team names were edited by an idol dyslexic numnut!!!
a lot of teams and players are wrong! p.s Ort is Portsmouth if it wasnt obvious. The worst of all is the spanish league where lazy abbreviations are used i.e., Athletico Madrid is now C. At. Madrid etc.. and that is a good one, some I cant work out. What makes it worse is the fact you cannot edit team names in the spanish, italian or dutch league!...bad
5. After a few weeks the option file on the Dario-x patch will cease to work (become damaged) you will lose all your saved game progress and will have to delete the patch from your system before it pollutes the rest of your XBOX!!!!!.... pointless download

Yeh me too I use the dario-x patch and it is by far the best patch for the xbox. Also don't what you mean by the option file ceasing to work and shit on point number 5. That's a load of bollocks! Fair enough if you want to make this thread mate but don't make stuff up! I've tried all the patches and this one was the best, never had one single problem with it.

Please try this with an unpatched version of the game and tell us whether there is any difference.HUMPERDINK said:
Other than this and the nets, it sounds like you need a decent option file so try the pesfan one and see how it goes. It may need a bit of modifying in terms of kit text colours/positioning but that doesn't take too long. And it will hopefully not go corrupt.

As for the music... we are the champions is a nice touch, the champions league music for every competition is yet another flawed feature of this patch.
Sick and tired of the music in general.... the repititiveness is like groundhog day. if I want to listen to music I put on my stereo or the radio where I can either choose or at least have a variety of tunes to listen to!
And yes I do have a problem with the patch, and one of my gripes is the fact that a lot of it I cant edit myself i.e., the spanish, italian and dutch teams/leagues which the editor has spent bugger all time on and infact made worse than the original!
If there is anyway to edit the nets, edit the team names in the spanish, italian and dutch leagues, get an undamaged option file and be able to play multiplayer competitions? then I would agree that the Dario-X patch is superb!
