Utter disgrace this game, you are either lazy and don't give a f*ck anymore or you are incompetent. Probably both.

Unforgivable, inconceivable problems with this half finished game which ultimately means you will never see a penny of my money again:

• AI scored approx 80% of freekicks.This is a problem which you surely know about and could easily be fixed with a patch but you haven't bothered fixing it. Disgusting.
• Lack of an important online feature which should be well in the game by now, the ability to set up matches where you can only pick lower to mid range teams, I am sick of playing against Real Madrid, literally 80% of online users pick them, which brings me to....
• Through balls are way to easy, to the point that 90% of people online choose to exploit this flaw in the game and constantly through ball spam it to Ronaldo all match, it is virtually impossible to defend against on a consistent basis and thus the dynamics of the game are ruined, leaving the user seriously frustrated and disgusted at your incompetance and laziness.
• Only about 5 or 6 songs in the game, it just shows how you couldn't give a sh*t anymore.
• No League mode. It just doesn't make sense why you would do this. Probaly to save money or time is my guess.
• Major positonal problems with the AI , for example - on free kicks which are level with the penalty box the defensive line will actually be ahead of the ball, instead of between their goal and the ball or level with it. Even with the defensive slider on this game set to 0, if you attack your defensive line will still push up right to the half-way line, when playing AI they don't even try to press at all when the oppurtunity is there after they lose possession. These are just the ones I can think of, off the top of my head.

£40 for a uncompleted game.Pfff.

You suck, am off to buy Fifa.

Fifa is just as unfinished and vile tbh.
Fifa got better player physics and animations but worse AI. The ball physics is somewhat off in fifa as well. It's fun for a laugh and a lot less frustrating than PES, but it's also a lot easier and lose the novelty feeling in a day.

Forwards always offside by 5,6 metres, Defenders letting opponents through just to mark another opponent, goalies sometimes stand in the completely wrong corner, no pressing intelligence, no shortpassing intelligence....

At least on Fifa you can't just through ball spam online, I have faced people online who will literally go for a through ball as soon as they get the ball no matter where they are on the pitch, and the worst thing is this despicable tactic actually works. On Fifa I can choose not to play against Real Madrid and the unstoppable Ronaldo in 80% of online games. As for offline, offline is unplayable on this PES. For the reasons mentioned above. Screw this game and screw Konami. They are a disgrace for what they have done. Anybody who tries to defend this semi finished game is deluded.

Harr harr... maybe you like Fifa better but it basically has the same issues PES has and the only person you're fooling is yourself.

Fifa is easier, got a less inventive AI (pingpong passes between two defenders inside their own box, back and forth for 15-20 seconds...HELLO???!) and you can basically bang in the goals from anywhere on the pitch unless you boost the keeper which makes it unbelievably good in other situations.

After spending a few weeks playing FIFA, I've realized that PES isn't so bad after all. It's different than FIFA, they have many of the same issues, but FIFA lacks any kind of depth tactically. FIFA's tactical changes doesn't really make a difference, and the AI has two gears; shitty and shittier. PES's tactical changes are far from perfect because it is too limited in terms on player control and yet too advanced at the same time for it to be a viable tool for those who isn't determined to mini tweak and change depending on the exact individual you're using in each game.

1 vs 1 human players is fun on both games, so in the end it boils down to preference. Visually, Fifa wins for me because of the better animations, but PES is still the better game in my opinion. That is taking all perks and flaws into account on both games. I don't really care for visuals tbh, it's more important with gameplay. The only important detail FIFA has done better than PES is the fact that poor players in PES are generally worthless, while in FIFA they usually still work (possibly too good).

If PES had a decent league system, it would beat fifa so far into oblivion that they could never return. Even unlicensed fantasy leagues... who the fuck cares about that anyway, we got mods ffs!

PS. I'm not saying one or the other is undeniably better than the other, but I'm saying I like PES better based on thorough testing of both games so it's a personal preference. I didn't turn off immediately after experiencing ugliness in FIFA, I've played the game pretty intense before dismissing it. I think PES is frustrating and ugly, but it's (slightly) less arcade. I also think Fifa is boring and un-inventive where it matters.

PES needs work, both from Konami and the players while Fifa is pretty much a one package deal tho, which makes it a more desirable choice for the mindless sheep. Who cares about actual teamplay anyway? (actually I do..) Almost all online matches in both PES and FIFA my opponents play hardcore mindless counter attacking football anyway, which both games seems tailored for. No brainz, just action and FIFA more so than PES. It is possible to play inventive football against humans on both games though, so in the end I prefer PES since the AI can occasionally be fun to play against as well.
