It's half an hour into a crucial Konami Cup semi final between England and Argentina and Joe Cole leads a counter attack for England. He plays a through ball to Ashley Cole but is caught doing so. The referee waves play on as he writhes in agony on the ground. Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard one twe their way around Javier Zanetti but then the Argentine disposses the left back. Gerrard wins it back with a cruching tackle but then the referee stops play. "Surely that wasn't a foul" I think and then I see an animation of several England players around Joe Cole who is then stretchered off. The camera returns to the normal game play angle as the referee has the ball in the palm of his hand in the position England had the ball before the game was stopped. He then drops it to Zanetti who passes it to England's defence while all his teammates allow the ball to run through. Now that's realism!

That's cool. The other day i fouled a player with Terry so the ref waved play on and another player ran on and had a shot but it went wide. After that, there was a cut scene showing Terry being sent off for the previous foul and then the game was continued and it was my goal kick.

True although in FIFA 2006. the handballs are amazing-you clearly see it hitting the other player....although everything else is poor as usual...

that was what I hoped to see, more cut scenes to cut down the hectic game for it's balance and to give extra realism... so beautiful :crymore:

It is PS2. I was shocked and delighted when it happend because I wasn't expecting it. I'd never heard anyone mention it before.

There are better examples of fair-play in the game than as described in the 1st post.

In the scenarion aobve , I would have had preferred play to go on as England had possesion in/around the Argie's box. If the ref had decided to call play back for J.Cole critical injury, he could have done so the moment Argentina had possession. Now if Gerrard had kicked the ball out purposely, and Argentina had thrown it back to England, it wpuld have been so much better.

That`s what happend to me! I was playing Int Cup with Serbia, can`t remember against whom, but the thing I remembered: I was in possesion of the ball on my half, starting attack, when CPU made a tackle and injured my player with no foul given. Ball came to me, and as I was enoyed, and I couldn`t brake anybody`s leg for a revenge (as I was in possesion of the ball), I shot the ball outside for throw in. Was thinkin`, first opponent`s player that gets the ball after, he`ll be crushed:realmad: ! But, instead of all that, CPU striker got the ball and just gave a long pass to nobody towards my corner line (it went out for a goal-kick!!!). It was 5*, so, I assume that this was KONAMI FAIR PLAY moment!!! Anybody seen something simmilar?

Yeah, i also heard somewhere that the crowd even boo if you don't pass the ball back after receiving it from a fair play clearance

just been playing Wales v Costa Rica (lol) adn was amazed to see a player down injured then I ran along the touch line with the ball going across the touchline , computer team through the ball to one of there players who launched it back to my keeper and thousands of hands clapping around the stadium.

Realistic as ...

Well Done to whoever thought up of that
