Yer Carboni is top notch. For your RB try 'Ferrara' he is just as good.

They are fairly good but Rachmane Barry and Zola have better development curves.

my mate told me about ferrara 2 days ago now ive just read it, mathews is brillind as well, end of the first season, for goal keepers i think schmeichel is the best to get
maldini reborn and vanden borre in defence

ive seen zola and he will be amazing at 19, all 99 maybe, and cruyff gets really good, better than henry easily.

there really are loads of youngsters that aregreat players

Personally I prefer not to unlock the 'classic' players so I dont use Cruff or Pele etc.

The best players in the first few seasons are IMO:

Rachmane Barry
Zola (regenerated)
Djorkaeff (regenerated)
Cocio
Cardozo
Kaebi
Lewis
Maldini (regenerated)
Carboni (regenerated)
Ferrara (regenerated)
Alex Aguinaga (regenerated)
Barth (regenerated, I think)
Kompany
Baumjohann
Mihaljovic (regenerated)

These are only the ones I have used and found effective Im sure there are many others though.

It varies.

Sometimes the players retire at different ages and sometimes it takes a while for them to come back. I would expect Maldini very soon if he isnt already there maybe one more season for Zola. I have actually had Zola come back in 2006 one time.

(the ones you need to wait to appear at the end of the season)

Top team

GK: Axelsson or Borges
RB + LB: Mitchell, Walton or Samuel
CB: Bos, Benedetti or Jean (NB jean is also a goalkeeper)
CM: Kaiser, Camacho, Machado or Yamada
SM: Baker, Shaw or Murray
CF: Schwarz, Rowland, Ribiero, Chapi or Soares


I have played with them all (bar some of the strikers the best are:
Yamada
Schwarz
Kaiser
Baker

Head and shoulders above the rest is Bos (versatile, good developer)
Machado is also good but you must get him as soon as he appears or you wont "keep up" with his steep growth curve.


I dont know if this is the sought of "youngsters" you wanted but they are good.

P.S Rooney is terrible and will drop after 1 or 2 seasons same as Adriano

Yeah I agree with you Reece. I have a conspiracy theory though. That is, the regen
Adriano will have the best growth curve of amazing stats. Thats just what I think, because it is impossible for Konami to underestimate a player sooooo much.


Another goos idea is to get some of the players who have the wrong ages. (Not Regens)

These are a lot of the South Americans such as:
Claudio Lopez - Argentina
Heinze - The Man U one
Contreras - Peru
R.Perez - Peru

The easiest way to find them is start a new masterleague and then search around the 20 year olds. And look for players who are strangely good compared to the other 20 year olds.

A few more players:
Calros Tenorio
Moreno

Both make good and cheap backup strikers

pele is awesome aswell, its probably been mentioned but eusebio is also awesom and blanc keeps developing into his 30s

its really annoying that alot of really good young players dont get that much better, martins, adriano, c.ronaldo but all these unknown and lesser players get reallygood

i thinl it sucks that some players "regen" cause it's unreal, and one of the major pros of pes4 and we8 was that it's the "most realistic soccer game" konami should put an option for lock the regen and classic player to get to the master league, cause it's soooooooooooooooooooo fu* unreal
