Young Players Losing Stats at Early Ages

Just like the title..

First, It looks promising and agile.. Very young age of players.. Scouts said "They are okay, will have a steady development pace" (I saw that as at least half experience bar filled every week of training or after match)..

Then interest starts to grow for recruiting these young lads.. I started to make negotiation with the clubs who owned them, don't forget with the "not to pricey" tags they have..

And, "YES!!", they accept my bid.. Hmmm.. Trying to negotiate with lesser Transfer Price and Annual Salary.. Wait for another week.. And.. Hooray!!! you are now in my squad!!

Age of 20 with the Overall Rating of 85.. What can go wrong, huh?!?

Oh wow... Your Stats are dropping, lads.. You don't get any experience that will fill up your stats, such as Dribbling, Shot Technique, Acceleration, etc.

Instead, you are decreasing your ability stats.. It's horribly going down all the time!! But you are still 20 yrs old, right!!?

What happen to you???

Anyone here have explanation????

I analyze this as an anomaly where the development curve stage where players is at his peak, have been dragged back to his earlier age.

I'm pretty sure it's a glitch, because it's happened to other players since I made that thread, including those whose growth curves I've checked in Edit. The two players I mentioned specifically, Ponce and Bodnar, are all the way down to 61 and 58 three or four seasons on, despite playing nearly every game for their clubs!

Does this happens to most of the players when you have finished 5 or 6 seasons?? Cause I have found this occurred to some players I've bought.

Well, it is not extremely decreasing.. but they just stop developing, although they are still 22-23 years old. And with the prediction of my Lv 5 Scout "Seems to develop at a steady pace"!! Crap!!!!

Speaking of the title, you mean 'losing' not 'loosing'.

Don't know why but people mixing up lose (opposite of win) and loose (opposite of tight) is one of my biggest 'pet peeves'.

So I've fixed it for you.

i had the same problem. mainly with valencia. his stats drop and his ov rating went down about 5 points. a season on and he started gaining points again and ended up 2 points above what he started on

it could be that???

i havent experienced any other weird drops

I signed a promising reborn midfielder mid-season who was 17 with an 82 rating. After only half a season he was up to 90 rating. I was thinking I had uncovered possibly one of the best midfielders in the game even if he developed only slowly up to 25 years.

Next season he hit 18 yo and he starts dropping!!! he's already down to 88 after a few games. Still a brilliant player but hugely dissapointing.

I've had a couple of others that have been dropping at 22-25 years and i've just offloaded them but never this early.

Yes, the way to make it clear is to sell them right away when they are dropping..

By the way, I have never had this losing stats with the players taken from my Youth Team. Only ones whom I bought from other clubs.

Now this one is new to me.. So it was dropping but then It came up again to the starting O.R. and ended 2 points above the starting O.R.

Question is,
Did the value of the players went down too when your player's O.R is dropping?

All the examples in my game are at the clubs that promoted them.

When you have several players dropping twenty O.R. points over the course three years, and they're still very young, something is wrong. These players have not been injured at all and are starters for their teams, playing nearly every game.

Even if they had the early peak (which the ones I could check did not, and the others all had the "regular rate" report), the rate of stat loss would mean their "curves" would be lines heading almost straight down. Given the fact that these guys are all in their early 20's and the decline shows no signs of stopping, it's conceivable that a couple of them might actually close in on an O.R. of zero by 32ish!

yeah after two or three season your young player will be gaining the points again..it happens to me too..

I'm playing the game on X360.

Yet I figured out, that these decreasing stats is only temporary.
But these questions are still tingling in my ears..

Is this stats decreasing affects the player's value?

Is this only happens to some player we bought from other club? Or is it also happens to our own promoted Youth Team player?

Boy, If it's right that this only occurs for one or two seasons.. It will be quite relieving. I'll just loan out these "special" players :-D

I don't think it's a glitch. Allthough i think it's ridicoulus, i think that konami did it on purpose. I've experienced it myself. Some fake player. Amazing stats at 20 years old. Fine development for 2 seasons. Then i sign him - he loses stats even though i play him every match.
I think it's supposed to be some kind of development thing from konamis side. That some players peak at eraly ages and maybe loses stats a season or maybe 2 and then their stats raise again. Who knows.
The thing is, that it still sux. I could understand if one of my players were injured for 6 months or something and then he lost stats..

Yes you are right, it is better like that.

BTW, I'm keeping track of a player who loses his stats. The name is D. Jarolim, aged 21. He started on 18 years old with overall rating of 85, now he is 79..
I will keep tracking his growth and inform this later to the forum what happened to him
