Raimondi for my Athletico Madrid ml. I got him from Livorno for peanuts! He plays right midfield and right back. He can play on the left to a same standard but I would keep him out the right. Athletico Madrid barely have any money at the start so a good deal. He's 28 but still a good player! I recommend him to anybody with barely any money left!!!

oops I sold gattuso, tho pirlo is the one I use to break up attacks
yeh even in the first season when he is in the 60s he can still score, i played him as a sub and he managed to get two goals in the game. although in my second season im and wellbeck aint my main strikers but do make regular appearances

just bought Montolivo... took me years!! But now I have him I am absolutely delighted... the final piece of my team. Bought him for 48 million euro's (brought that down from 60m euro). Did not want to negotiate too hard. Best signing in terms of improvement so far was Criscito... The problem is I only want for 80-90% Italian players in my Milan side, except from maybe a few bargains, f.e. got Michel Bastos on a free transfer (he was at 91). Pato and Abate are the best existing players in the Milan side. So if you have a chance and not playing Milan I would advise to make a move for Abate.

I bought Hoarau for around 18 million pounds from psg. He scored over 40 goals in first full season but that was for all competitions (32 in the league). He is not a quick player but has "fox in the box" skill card and is good in the air and poaching in the box. Top signing. I will try and get him asap for my next ML season.

Valter Birsa, he usually starts on the bench but scores 20+ goals per season
No big signings for me, not that rich yet. I much prefer starting small and crap, working my way up.
I signed Gapke on a free, he is a quick wf / ss with a canny shot, i trained him to play left mid, good player.
I also managed a triple swoop for hargreaves, ledley king and crough cos they were all transfer listed! Nice.
Also got a player called Luan at same time as gapke, not to bad a striker when your starting out.

What team?
I've had a few really good ones, i'm up to 2020/2021 now. I started with Newcastle same as Fairbairn above.
I signed a cheap CB called CABRAL from Argentina, he is the same age as Steven Taylor at the start and they became my CB pairing. He has a steady but very long growth curve and he developed all the way up to 31/32 years and a rating of 96!!! I've just sold him at the age of 32 for 45 mil just as his stats are starting to drop.
I've mentioned earlier about a spanish SS called MUNIAIN, he starts the game at 17 with a rating in the 70's. Use him as a sub the first couple of seasons and give him a few cards and he turns into a goal machine!!!! Small fast and explosive with a rating of 95 and still rising slowly at 27.
Another brilliant cheap signing at the start is a Dutch left sided SMF called DUARTE, he is also very young at the start but stands out in a poor team (Newcastle lol) and develops up to 93 rating.
Lastly for now, I signed a GK called ROOM, I chased him for maybe 2 seasons as my Keepers were piss poor. I eventually signed him and he is as solid as hell. Still developing slowly in his late twenties but has an unbelievable rating of 102!!!! He is probably my best signing followed by Muinain above.
