Oh I think it's improved drastically! It really is refreshing to hear new voices after 5 or so years with Brackley + Brooking. It's nice to hear a bit more enthusiasm too, "AND THE SHOT!!"

champion is a good deal but tbh even in real life lawro is a shit commentator, added onto that his sarcastic voice in the game :/

Much of the scripting is identical to PES6... which just sucks. Surely someone could have told Konami that a lot of what they make the guys say would NEVER be said in reality.

I hate the commentary. Turned it off after about 2 matches. There's no kind of emotion in the commentary and it doesn't seem to be time specific. Like you score a goal and in real life the commentator would be shouting and describing the goal. In this, it's just "oh he's beaten the keeper" or something stupid like that.

Yes ur right the commentary is really excellent think Jon Champion is an excellent footie commentator love when he screams when your about to shoot at goal hope hes doing the commentary on the next years version. Lawro very boring get rid of him

When I played 2008 first it distracted me like the previous ones had. But I got used to it when I got better on the game. But if I'm playing someone hard or doing a final I turn it off. But I leave it on when doing top player because it's fun to listen to it. Better than the other ones.

That still beats the commentary in the PES 2008, where teams are losing 3-0 at 75 minutes, you score the fourth and they say that you "look like getting away with it now", or that the fourth goal might have clinched it for your team...

One thing is anoying about the comentator is your winning 3 0 in 30 min and then he goes fans are already leaving the cant stand humilating
