Welcome back...
I want to play a totally random league season so here is your chance. Throughout my season I will ask questions and whoever answers first (as long as it is not ridiculous) will dictate my season.

Which team am I ?

Tough start. Messina defended well at home and a 0-0 draw was the best Palermo could manage. MOTM - Fabio Simplicio. A long road ahead I fear.....

Inter top early with 5-0 thrashing of Parma away.

Match 2 - Palermo v Fiorentina.

Carraciollo hit the bar early on after some fine work down the right side by Bresciano. Brienza was the most constant threat with some top drawer wing play. The second half followed much the same pattern with some excellent flowing football from Palermo. Fiorentina offered very little going forward as they didn't get a touch of the ball.

0-0 a clever attacking midfielder is a must for the transfer window as well as a goalscorer!

Game 3

Palermo 0-1 AS Roma

Again Palermo played the better football but possibly the worst goalkeeping error I have seen on the game saw Agilardi (who up to that point had been flawless) come off his line to deflect in a harmless weak shot that was heading wide.

I fear for my job. :p

Better now....

Ascoli 0-2 Palermo

Palermo win their first 3 points in a football masterclass. Were it not for Pagliuca this could have been 10. Man of the match was Parravicini who intercepted in midfield then ran inside his opponents box to the byline and cut back for Cassani to fire home low and hard into the bottom right hand corner.

The second came when Parravicini again interecepted the ball in midfield and swept a ball outwide to Brienza, Brienzas pass found Caracciolo who beat 2 men with a turn side stepped another and scored a deflected shot into the bottom right hand corner. It was no less than Palermo deserved.

Man of the match - Parravicini

Is this the start of better things or a one off against lowly opposition ? Time will tell

The beautiful game
Palermo are pretty shite though on PES, no wonder you aint doing well.

Buy Baumjohan, attacking mid.

Edit- Good to see you finally get a win.

Palermo - Empoli

A very combative game with very little time being allowed on the ball. Mostly played in midfield, Empoli settled much the quicker and stroked the ball about competently. A unfamiliar Palermo came into the second half in the last ten
nearly scoring on two occasions both from corners and both just wide.

Palermo took over in the second and had chances but nothing special in the second half with neither side really deserving to win. They missed their "big" names as they were rested and it showed.

0-0

Man of the match Godeas.

Please god open that window!

Livorno 0-0 Palermo

OPEN THE WINDOW NOW! I can't score goals. Not worth a match report trust me. MOTM - Grandoni (Livorno)

Livorno shots on target 0

Palermo 10

Good idea this Rafa.

If you're having trouble scoring you could always try a new formation for the upcoming match I guess. What I tend to do is check out my oppositions formation first and see what their players average rating is. I often utilise this by over-powering them. Should play a strong 3-4-3 etc. Watch the goals flood in.

Good suggestion however I only have two strikers who can kick a ball and neither are in any kind of form so...

0-0 at home to Atalanta. Domination again but no cutting edge. Even missed a pen.

Man of the match - Brienza.
Next match Lazio away...

Welcome back...
A schoolboy back pass cost Palermo a point away to Lazio. Palermo again had much the better of the play and failed to take their chances. More pace needed upfront.

Lazio 1-0 Palermo.

Man of the match Brienza.

Inter 0-0 Palermo

A result that shows that defensively Palermo are sound. There clean sheet record so far is immense and they are the only side to take points off inter this season at the San Siro, a feat not easily achieved. I would say it is fair to say that Palermo more than held their own but the difference was whenInter did attack they looked menacing and stretched Palermos defence to its full capacity. Palermo nearly forefeited there hard earned point when they allowed Recoba to steam through the box but luckily his shot flashed off the post.

Man of the match - Olivier Dacourt.

Oh good Palermo draw........ AC Milan in the cup. First inter now ac.

More to follow....

Palermos makeshift side took the lead when Amauris strong hold up play and turn sent him 1 on 1 with Dida. Dida saved but Godeas was there for the rebound and a shocked San Siro fell deadly quiet other than the disbelieving chants from the Palermo fans! To be fair with Amauri earlier having been brought down synically by Nesta when clean through it was no more than Palermo deserved.

Palermo were only troubled the once by veteran striker Filipo Inzaghi but a fine save by Fontana and an excellent defensive performance (again) meant that Palermo came away with a first leg lead they could scarcely have expected.

AC Milan 0-1 Palermo

Man of the match - Amauri

Welcome back...
Palermo 1-0 Siena

Possibly the most one sided game in Pro Evo history as Palermo just set up camp inside the Siena box for 90 mins till in stoppage time when practically in the net Amauri was fouled and a penalty was rightly awarded. Amauri got up brushed himself off and calmly slotted home the winner.

Man of the match - Amauri. Becoming a real fans favourite with hardworking displays and has a record of 2 goals in 2 full games which has led to back to back wins for Palermo.

This result sees Palermo climb from 13th up to 11th with a record of:

12 points - won 2 drawn 6 lost 2. If Palermo buy well then a top 8 finish should be their aim for this season. Anything above 11th would be a nice start to build on.

Most encouraging is the fact that in 11 games including 1 cup game I have only conceded 2 goals and both were very lucky indeed.

What is most worrying however is I have only scored 4 in the same amount.

Still if Amauri keeps causing these kinds of problems who knows ? Are things looking up ? Messiah, Messiah.....
