Alright fellas. As you know I live in US and we7 wont be released here anytime soon. So I ordered we7 from play-asia.com very cool staff they have over there.. the game was $59.50 and plus $23 for shipping (UPS Courier 2-3 day service) and I e-mailed play-asia and asked them if they have we7 avaliable since im sure they have like a billion of other ppl gettin we7 so they told me they've been doing shipping of we7 since monday..and im confused..the game is officially released tomorrow aug,. 7th how come they have it before that date ?? will I be getting a demo game or original we7 game..

Yeah it's the original game and if he wants to order it now it's up to him. Maybe he'd like to patch the game and not wait 3 months?

I guess they've been shipping out the game early so shops can get it on release date and it can be delivered to homes on time.

WE7 is on CD, PES3 will be on DVD.
This means WE7 is much easier to patch, although this doesn't mean that PES3 won't be patched. Very soon there will be a patch for WE7 with updated teams, kits, flags and language translation etc with the only problem being Jap commentary.

Plus WE7 is good for those who don't want to wait.

If you can play it in Jap, you can play a patched, translated version. It's well worth it to look into chipping, I reckon.

How come your WE7 is on DVD? Are you sure?
Do me a favour and put your WE7 into your PC CD drive and check how much data is on the CD by size. Thanks.
I believe it will be less than 700MB and will be a CD.

man - this is all fucked up...patching and everything PES3 vs WE7 the language problem...you know..I don't really care if its written in Japanese or in English..I'm here to play the game, not to read the letters..and Jap* commentary doesn't bother me one bit..its surely better than the one they have in WE6I ..so just order your WE7 from play-asia instert the game into your PS2 and play it..who gives a shit about language..

You are right eksol everything is messed up when the 2 series go head to head. Patching is the way to go in the long run, you've probably seen all the different versions of WE6FE and how good they look and feel with slight alterations to response levels and player models to produce a smoother feeling game.

Also WE7 will be NTSC 60Hz standard display which comes out perfectly on my US big tv, you can always convert the image to 50Hz but your better off with a converter even so it still doesn't play like it does at 60 (not really a concern of yours, just letting others know).

Learning to patch will help you to customize the game far beyond what standard patches can, its money well spent. And if PES3 has the same file structure as there has been some differences between PES, PES2 and the WE counter parts we will have to wait and see if PES3 can use the WE7 patches and in which case everyone would still have the need to modify their ps2 in some form.

Ghanim - Yours can't be a legit copy if it's on dvd, unless you have some limited addition?

I think US PS2s need to use one of the 'methods' to be able to play WE games. I agree with eksol, you can figure most of it out using the menus translations thread and it's the gameplay that counts.

heard from the guy making the argentian patch, they might end up just waiting for some korean patch to come out (saturday) and then just translating it to spanish. so lookout for the korean patch, it seems to be the first one to be released
