Probably my best purchase for only £3.8 million.

Oh yeah, Billy Sharp (£5m) is a great buy. I bought him in January and he ended the season on 20 goals. Finished second in my first season.

Nice one with that signing. Get Eddie Johnson, man. I got him for £2.8m and he's on 16 goals in December and leading the average rating scores.

Man City are a class team to start with; shit loads of money, good assets and not so high expectations by the media.

I bought the game recently, but i've not installed it yet.
I'm considering going an english team (it's where most of my knowledge lies) any suggestions which team to go?

i started with man city. good challenge there. i had a Birmingham file which corrupted but it was fun trying to keep them on top. i would say start with a mid table team to start with. not too hard yet not too easy. Plus its good that the expectations of the club rise as each season goes.

i was gonna think along the lines of man city/newcastle/villa/spurs but i would also be looking for someone with a decent transfer budget.

I started one with City last night. I bought a few of the usual suspects in, as well as some left-winger called Poulsen as back up to Petrov, (who doesn't seem "all-that" on the game) he scored a cracker again Wigan in my first away win. So far I've played Brum, (HW) Portsmouth, (AL) Chelsea, (AL) Carlisle (HW) and Wigan, (AW) Tottenham are up next and I have a bit of an injury crisis, No Elano, no Petrov, no Corluka and no Giovanni.

HW = Home win and AL = Away loss, obvo.

^ Ha, Rooney's got a similar goalscoring record in my game.

Came 3rd in my first season with Man City. Half way through my second season now and it's definately not as succesful, I'm in 6th place with 7 points between 6th and 1st. Van Der Vaart has been a complete flop, and can't even get in my team now - I've had shit loads of good/bad signings that I'll have to print screen later. Funnily enough, United gave me Nani on loan for 6 months, hopefully I can sign him permanantely because he's been pretty class.

Daniel Sturridge and Boijinov are meeting their potential and are causing havoc, Bianchi and Eddie Johnson are both worth 15m now and scoring for fun. :)
