and I try to fix all the Port 5739 is my default but it is still not working

Hi guys,

This problem started occurring only today: for some reason I can't run the game with any of the following methods:-
1) Double clicking the shortcut on the desktop/start menu.
2) Going to the folder where the game is installed and double clicking on the .exe file itself.
3) Right click on the DVD drive and click Auto Run and then click Play on the Auto Run menu.

None of the above methods seem to start the game - basically nothing happens. The only way I'm able to run the game is when I actually take out the DVD from the drive and put it back in again and then press Play on the Auto Run menu.

I've had the game for a few weeks now, no patches installed, and this problem started happening only today. Anyone else with the same problem?

EDIT: Never mind, it fixed itself.

Hello. Every time I play the game with VSYNC switched off, I have a large amount of picture breaking. When I turn VSYNC on, I don't have any picture break, but the game shows a while box around my monitor edge as well as the game changing speeds when the ball goes out of play for example, or there is a cut-scene etc.

help! i cant install the update

i tried everything from installing windows installer 4.5 and reinstalling pes2009,
but the same error message keeps appearing whenever i try to install the patches:



and that's for both the patches.

hey guys i also cant install the damn updates.
i know it says on konami it will say its not responding but just leave it to install,well i did,i left it for over an hour and it still hadnt installed.so now i cant play online anymore which pissed me off wen i found out.
so short of throwing my comp out the window does any1 have any ideas that will get the update to install???
any help would be greatly appreciated.

i played pes 2009 just fine until i started to mess with updates and kitserver. i installed them and at first everything worked fine. i adjusted the resolution in lod mixer and enabled enhance image quality. after that, i entered pes settings menu, and it asked me if i want kitserver to enable all details, including not supported ones. i also adjusted resolution here to 1280x1024. after that, all ingame scenes (goal celebrations, etc.) at first get stuck, and after few seconds they start, but fast-forwarded, and when they end, it takes few seconds to see the game again.
i uninstalled the kitserver, the game, deleted option files, but the problem remains. what to do?

Is it possible to run the PES 2009 on 1920 X 1080 without any crash? cause mine is always crash each half-time or full-time at most.. tried all the 1.10 & 1.20 patches both from KONAMI & Vitality, tried all the resolution fix, but still didn't solve the problem..
The only consolation was from the kitserver that restore all the team logos & jerseys..
If it is possible, please teach me how to solve it.. thank you in advance..

Just wanted to add in here that after many restarts this BAL game is running smoothly. There's nothing in particular I did so I have no idea.

Re-installed the game into a directory of my choice, not where it wanted to put it
Didn't install any patches at all
Changed the resolution down to 1024x780
Started the game for the first time
Started my BAL
Didn't edit anything in game or my BAL appearence
Played the scout match
Played just shy of a season then updated my appearance
Then updated all the kits/logos/transfers
in my 4th season and not a crash in sight

I don't believe it is possible to play PES at that resolution without any crashes. I continue to play at 1280x800 and have no patches installed due them not liking my save game. As it is, I suffer no crashes at all.

What graphics drivers are you using? The HD4800 series of cards should not suffer any issues with the game at all and you clearly have enough RAM and a good enough processor.

You need to provide hardware information.

Are you both in Vista? If so, do you both have administrative privileges and choose, specifically, to run the installer as an administrator by right-clicking on the icon and clicking "Run as Administrator"?

I hope someone can help. I have a problem with the commentary repeating itself all the time. It works OK for a while and then starts to repeat the same sayings all the time. Anyone know what the problem might be? I am currently playing the BAL mode

im using xp with sp2 and my hardware matches the requirements.
i have put an option file on but that shouldn't affect it should it??

i hav a problem with online play, my connection quickly flickers between good and no communication even after all ports are forwarded, can anyone help please

I've also found a new issue, I'm playing the PC Retail version, patched, using the keyboard of my laptop (specs below) and since the patches etc the game stops using my choice of controls, I edit them in the settings and they do not reset between loads/exits, but no matter what game mode I play they do not work; it makes for an interesting game when my only 2 options are short pass and long pass. 0-0s throughout a season is enough for the title right? No? Oh well. I flat out refuse to go and buy the xbox controller for windows just to play the game, then have it crash.

I have the exact same problem
I can play the game with no problems at all for a few weeks or so, and then suddenly...when i enter a game...5-7 of the players' got blure rings around them, and none of the buttons work, only the right and left analog sticks...and the d-pad :/
Then, when i try to enter "Player Settings" the game just crashes.

My second problem is the crashing...omg...i played CL with a friend of mine...we went thru to the semi-finals and we where all excited and sh*t...but then...it happened..of course the game kept crashing when we tried to enter the final. No matter what we did (I rebooted my pc, started the game over, loaded the game) we just couldnt move on to the final...it kept crashing.

My third problem is, i can't connect to any online games..i just get the infamous "can't connect to port 5739 problem". GRRRRRR!

The craziest thing is...when i first bought the game...it ran smooth for like a week, and then ALL of this happened! Almost at the same time...except the online problem which was there from the beginning. THEN, i reinstalled the whole game....and things were running smoothly again for another week...untill last night...were it ALL HAPPENED AGAIN!

FFS KONAMI!

I'll try to install the new patch and see if it fixes the crashes, or else i'll run it in 1240X800 instead of 1600X1200....

I hope the patch fixes the online issue as well...BUT...

Does anyone have a solution to the controller/joypad problems??????? Coz that is THE MOST important one to fix....
