After 3-4 months of playing Fifa i think im beginning to become bored of it bit by bit. Ive entirely stopped playing the MM about 1 month ago and ive stopped playing ranked matches about 2 weeks ago. Now all im doing is playing m8s in Club and league. In pes i got bored of it but it was always a routine thing where after a week or somin i'd be back with a bang and more into it thatn ever but with fifa once i get bored with it i just get bored of it and stop playing aspects. Fifa is slowly dieing though it will always be a good game for an hour or somin.

The AI is shockingly terrible. I play the BAL mode all the time, because I like the idea of biulding my own player but the players in your team are complete mongoloids. I have it on Top Player and it seems that only the opposition is that level, not my team who hoof the ball and bump into each other, me and the ref constantly and run with the ball like Bambi on ice.

You playing all manual yet Muzza? I've been playing shitloads for 3-4 months and it's still holding my attention because i've still got so much to master. Gradually i'm timing my use of the trick stick better, and pace control. I'm pulling off more and more inticate moves with the manual passing etc. But i'm not gonna be happy until i can smash in 30 yarders with manual shooting, and score solo goals where i skin 3-4 players with multiple tricks. I know it's possible and i've come so close, so onwards I battle to become a master.

I really, really, really cba to play on manual. Tired it, hated it and shooting even in a 1 on 1 situation is impossible. Bad Company and PGR4 are holding up well so Fifa can be played on the side. Looking towards Operation Flashpoint 2 is like having a game on its own.

Shame dude shame, each to their own.

Im still punishing the MM using real madrid now, there are little tweaks you can do to make it more interesting, mainly not upgrade your EXP point potential too high, thay way the player dont become as great as quick. But its cool though, we are a couple of months away from talk of fifa 2010 anyways.

if the guy got bored, then he got bored, whats so shameful about it.

if anyone plays so many hours per day in either game will eventually get bored soon cause he/she would have conquered all modes. fifa's online might extend that joy (but pes fans would argue that they enjoy offline against team mates for longer time).

Well, like somebody mentioned some time ago -- you've been playing PES for years, so it's natural to be bored with the latest version. On the other hand, you have Not played FIFA in years, so it will be something New and interesting.

Now you know why some people still prefer PES, it still haves more bite. Somehow FIFA09 feels a bit "watered down" in the final third.

Between the two FIFA is arguably the better simulation.

I really think that PES has suffered a lot because Konami has been paying too much attention to EA.

I feel that Konami didn't improved where they should have improved, where it was expected to improve.

A huge part of past PES versions was the fact that PES used to offer the best variety of Stats in any Football Sim. Many of us spent plenty of hours EDITING the Stats of many Teams and Individuals.. getting as closer to reality as possible.

But I feel Konami has let themselves down in that respect, because they have NOt implemented any NEW STATS.

And to be honest, when PES5 was out, I was expecting New Stats in PES6. And when PES6 was out, I was expecting a Host of New Stats in the "Next Gen" PES..

And yet, PES08 and PES09 still use the same exact Stats and Special Abilities.

It's just disappointing to see a Champions League Mode, a BAL Mode -but- no improvements in the important areas. It gives the impression that Konami has been paying too much attention to EA, so much that they have forgotten what PES was all about.

Konami should know, that if it was for Licenses or the "Complete Package" -- FIFA over PES.

I just really want to there to be a game that is massive and will go down in history as one of the best games ive ever bought. I havnt had a game like that since Bad Company which i bought almost a year ago. Best game ever though. I need somthing thats going to blow me away and nothing in months has come close and there will be barely anything till next winter.

Its not shameful, its a shame.

I have no problem with what Muzza said.

Even if did get bored, i still wouldnt go back to that Pes 2009 bullshit, when konami start making next gen football games, instead of old, played out ps2 ports, then ill be willing to look.

Doubt its gonna happen though, question is, if FIFA improves, it will most surely destroy PES 2 years running, what excuses are people gonna have this time?

Will be interesting to see.

Thats it. There wont be any excuses this time round. It will be a case of enough is enough. They must have done alot with the game already seeing as they probably began making it last autumn so i can only hope that they've listend to us all and will make a quality game. I almost laughed saying that last bit.

since this is the 'hate' thread i wanted to rant ..

it appears on the face of it, during my current go at BAL, my "substitution time" is set between 58-60 minutes.

Every game i've played (AMF for Everton at the moment) for the past 10 games, as soon as the ball goes out after 58 minutes i'm gone.

What really infuriated me in the most recent game is that i'd scored once in the first half and on exactly 59 minutes, i scored my second and was immediately taken off.

GRRRRRRRRRR :realmad:

Lol. Like i have always said, the button config on my fifa is set to PES controls, meaning if I had to, could go right back to pro and pick it up again.

If pes 2010 is an amazing game, then there is no reason no to buy it.

I would honestly say there is a 5% chance FIFA wont smash PES again this year, seriously, FIFA already started working to try and improve a game that was light years better than pes 2009 in the 1st place, Konami have got way too much ground to make up in one year.

PES hasnt ever really taken one big gigantic step forwards, thats not the way Konami have done it, so I dont know why people think all of sudden they are gonna revolutionise a game in 12 months, especially when they have been saying they are making the best ever pes since 2008 and its just got worse.

EA will have to do the fuck up of the century for PES 2010 to have a legit shot.

Muzza you have to play manual for weeks before you really get into it. It's so good when you do though. I bury most one on ones, and score some screamers too. It's the passing where the joy lies though, picking out fancy throughballs and getting the accuracy bang on in a one-touch passing move from back to front, quality. It's hard but very rewarding.

I don't really play online now to be honest. Those who say that the online modes extend the lifespan of the game are the opposite to me. Started out playing a lot of assisted games online, then a few manual, but now i find i have by far the most fun just playing the CPU on all manual on world class. Ready to move to legendary soon with it though i think.
