Pes 2010 demo feedback!

All the mentions of code this and code this, the demo is kinda pish, end of. I'll still be getting PES for a few simple reasons... Master League shits over Fifa's manager mode, Player likenesses are a hundred times better(ie they don't all look like they had a stroke and woke up in looney tunes land) and edit mode is the best thing about any football game, Fifa can't compete edit wise.

Just to say i've started using Semi As it makes it far more interesting and you have to keep on game with changing the player at times.
+ Positives
Graphics, wow! just insane! The stuble on Hitzlsberger had me in awe.
Layout/Menus, Gorgeous and easy to use
Shooting, great it seems to have the exact right balance, as for volleys outside the box OOFT! superb!
Full crowds and Atmosphere, very nice. If in ML they have something like in the tunnel instead of the PES sign they have the sponsor you chose, that'd be dreamy.
When you fall down it take longer to get up, so important this stays. Also clashing and the motion of players being bumped into making movements different is just fantastic. I crossed a ball in by Lahm and had Tromochowski(sp?) jump up to header it but he got a knocked by two defender and ended up heading it with the side of his head with no control on his part, which was just amazing.
- Negatives
Top player is too easy i think once i kick in with ML i don't want to have to start using no card players to give myself a challenge what i think could happen. Konami have to realise this game has cult players playing it everyday, i feel they need to add two more harder difficulty levels. Please do this! it would be ideal.
Passing and Gamespeed. Seems still fast it needs to be slower hopefully they will tweak the player control faster but passing and running movements will be slower.
Goalkeepers...Xavi hit a ball staright at Rienas legs it his his inside calf and went in, on top player. This can't happen they need to improve.
Summary...
I always thought this would Pwn 08 and 09 put together a bit much, hmm not really you can feel this game alot more than the older next gen ones.
Well done Konami i really can't wait to use Player Cards too more extent.
Oh yeah someone moaned about not being able to change defence levels even if a player was something like an AMF well you can if he has a card. It's limited but i think it's good it can set players apart. Nice move

I hope you were joking when you said 60% lol been said many times its about 85% build ... 60 where did you get that from... tho admittedly, the game is probably 60/100 in terms of how good it should be... a very very poor demo:
Keepers, amazingly, less responsive than 09, had a chip shot from 20 yards, ball bobbled along, and keeper jus stood there and let it in. Otherwise, with long passes, shots etc, the ball arrows itself around... players are robotic, with worse animations than ISS Pro deluxe... okay, I got carried away with my last point, but this game is bad... even worse than Fifa 09.2 lol
2008 was a disaster. 2009 was better but it infuriated me with the momentum shifts and awful goals conceded.
First impressions of 2010...... better. Graphics as metioned are great. What struck me straight away about the gameplay was the tempo of play is slower. I started playing and my thumbs were a blur on the controller. This is how I have to play on 2009 because everygame is hard work for me just to defend. Hammer the change player button AND the X button to tackle. However 2010 - no need. I found after a couple of games that it's a mixture of tight defending and sitting back and being patient when defending.
Passing is OK and I haven't noticed any stupid glitchy AI "cheating". Shooting is less sensitive which is good for me. I also like when players colide. It's not automatically the CPU that gets up first and wins the ball.
Bad points? I'm sure I'll find someore, but the only things I can point out are: Personally I don't like the selection screens.
Overall with the collisions etc the game feels a little like PES 5 (which for me is good). You can tell also how Konami have tried to get rid of soft goals and the defending is more realistic!

I think you'll find people who know their PES, are comparing it with the ps2 versions... which were far in excess of this piece of rubbish... how is it that 5 years on from PES5, widely regarded as the best one... we have a game that has plummeted in quality since its introduction on the next gen consoles.

Kind of sums my thoughts up. I've tried it on PS3 and PC and I like it. Yes, dammit! I like it. Not very fashionable to say that even on a PES site but there you go...

Clunky movement, nowhere near as free flowing as the Fifa demo. Likeness are very good, but everyone looks as if their image was captured after a long period with no sleep :huh:

You and i (and a few others) are in the minority.
A lot of people are slating this for one reason or another. I played the FIFA10 demo and thought it was FIFA 09.2 (like people have pointed out) and felt like nothing (apart from the 360 degree controls) had changed.
I immediately found PES10 demo enjoyable and loved it! The only downside to me was the response, (which someone has already pointed out that it has been fixed in the final release) the rare goalkeeping error and the crowd/atmosphere (or lack of)
I was pleased with what i have seen and played from the demo and am looking forward to getting PES10
PES 2010 graphics are a lot better than Fifa 10. In fifa the players look like they are appearing on cartoon network after the game.

Quite frankly when played with wide view the difference is irrelevant. The more varied animations and better flow of the game are more important to me than how pretty Rooney looks...
Thats the competition, why shouldnt it be compared to FIFA? If FIFA is a better football game then so be it, theres no need hanging on to a fallen game just to be loyal (and im not saying PES has fallen)
Fair point Fick, I understand what you mean. But to alot of people and especially with the power and capability of the PS3 and 360, graphics should be good. The roles have somewhat reversed from previous generation consoles. PES was always inferior to presentation than FIFA, but on this generation of consoles Pes has overtaken fifa by miles in the graphics department.

I feel obligated to add my own views on the PC demo, seeing as I enjoyed watching what other people were thinking about it and my opinion matters just as much.
I'm primarily a BAL player, so I chose to play only with one select player (I changed around though, for variety) and I'm positively pleased by a few things.
-The graphics are nicer, although the resolution needs a few more options. Thank God for kitserver, really (for the 09 version atleast).
-Gameplay is much more smooth than on the 09 PC version. It kinda feels more like the console versions now. That however, is both a good and a bad thing.
-This fabled 360 movement that I've heard so much about... well, I wasn't impressed. Sure, dribbling feels different - better in many ways - but I didn't really notice that much of a difference in the movement department.
-I'm glad that the Shot Feint is changed. Hell, it's not even THAT good anymore, albeit it could probably fool quite a few defenders. But the main point is, it probably won't be used as the main dribbling tool any more. Especially if the AI stop using it.
-I didn't notice that much change in terms of the AI, mostly because I haven't given the AI enough time to observe it yet.
-The prematch scenes, I like them.
-The referee didn't call a correct tackle as a foul!
Everything wasn't golden and great though:
-The goalkeepers seem to absolutely suck.
-The more fluid-like, flowing gameplay will probably take a bit of time to adjust to.
-Someone noted it and I was annoyed by it; the player didn't take First Touch shots, instead he always received it and then shot it. Some moments will require First Touch shooting and it seems a bit lacking at the moment.

yeah I pre-orderd fifa this year.
Played the demo didn't found it that good . The goalies are the biggest fail of the game they are really shit. Graphics+ gameplay was superb, But I find it a bit slow the game. Shots are good. Liked it verry much to see the new mercurial vapor in the bleu colour. But I think its jsut not good enough for me.
Maybe i'll buy the game if its really low of price , but otherwhise i don't think i'll buy it.
