Alright guys, I've been fortunate enough to receive PES 2011, and I thought some of you might want to know some details.

Don't ask me how you can acquire the game early, and don't ask about anything that has to do with longevity as I don't know at this point e.g. "how many years is BAL?" "can you switch teams in the ML?" etc etc. This thread is more for minor things that people might want to know, if certain teams, players, boots and whatnot are in the game. I'll add some changes I've noticed myself too. I obviously won't be able to answer questions immediately as I'll sometimes be playing PES myself, or of course, out living life and being busy. Thanks.

Unfortunately I can't upload photos of the game in use, potentially for legal reasons and I actually lost my iPhone last week.

Anyway lets get underway!

- Not only can you edit the league/cup names (as usual), but you can edit the logos for them as well, and also the league/cup logos will appear as a patch on the team's sleeves during competition!

- The Copa teams can't be used in exhibition mode against the teams from the rest of PES as mentioned earlier, but they can be used against one another in a Copa exhibition mode. There's quite a lot of Copa teams too which I'll go into more detail with later on once I've looked through them again.

- The referee is a lot less whistle happy and won't blow constantly for minor niggles as was the case in the demo. A big improvement from me, thumbs up.

- An exhibition win is worth 10 points, which can be put towards the PES shop's extra content.

Do we get the ability to use the normal wide/long camera angles from previous games? Or do we need to use the "broadcast" version only?

1. What version and for what system? (What commentaries and languages are available?)
2. Are the transfers all set? E.g. Ibra and Robinho to AC Milan
3. Is the wing bug fixed?
4. Did you notice any other changes vs. demo play?
5. Have you tried online play? Any lag?
6. How does the commentary compare to other PES?

Great question, especially since quite a few people have queried this on the forum. I hadn't played a game yet, just browsed through the edit mode and had a quick scan over everything. I've just started an exhibition between Napoli and Parma there though and yes, there are several different camera options it seems:

Normal Close
Normal Medium
Normal Long
Wide
Broadcasting
Vertical Wide
Player

Those are the options. I think the game's default is actually Normal Long, despite being Wide I think in the demo. I quite liked the demo's Wide panning view though so I'll be sticking with that for now. I'll probably change it up a bit though to check the others out.

Is it true that you can't go off running with messi from the back all the way to goal? is it more of a passing game rather than a one man take-off?

How is the team formation tab. Is it like the 2010? or it has change completely? meaning in layout.

Can a Copa Libertadores team play a champions league team? How about the Inter-Continental cup, where the winner of the Libertadores plays with the Champions winner. Is it there?

How about that Online game? is it lagging like always?

I haven't checked yet. I'll probably start a ML in the next day or so though so when I do I'll check the possibility of signing Copa players asap though for you. It would be a kick in the crotch if they aren't available for purchase in the ML, but it wouldn't surprise me to be honest.

1. I forgot to mention my version is PAL and for the Xbox 360. Mark Lawrenson is out for the commentary and Jim Beglin is in (he's commentating on the current Valencia vs. Manchester United match on itv). I'll check the languages after the above match is finished, so give me about 30 minutes on that one.

2. The transfers have not been made, Robinho and Ibrahimovic etc seem to be at their past clubs unfortunately, nothing a quick minute won't fix mind.

3. The wing bug is not fixed.

4. EDIT: The game speed seems very similar after playing a bit more and changing to my more favoured Wide camera angle. Don't expect anything shocking in the speed department as it all seems quite nice, like the demo. :)

5. I've not tried online yet, I can't even see online being activated by Konami just yet as they usually activate it a few days before the actual release date.

6. Comparing commentary? As I say I've only played a little bit, but I was a fan of Mark Lawrenson as I found his dry humour great at times while others don't particular like him. After playing a full match now, the commentary seems quite good, and less intrusive at times. Sometimes on previous PES games the commentary didn't flow as nicely as it could have, but it's less noticably brash on this one and more subtle in tone and works well I think.

Hunter, can you turn off certain player pokemon cards and activate others??? im mainly interested in the ones that determine how the player behaves on the pitch, not the skill related cards like 'stepover' and all that shit.

How is the game speed? same as demo???? I play on -2.

Ah yeah, I remember you mentioning the pokemon cards before with regards to hopefully solving some player runs, at least for some individuals anyway. I'll check quite soon and edit this post.

EDIT: After further inspection, the game speed seems very similar, quite possibly the same which is probably a good thing.

Checking if we can sign copa players would be a major thing for us, it wouldnt take even a minute if you can create a quick ml with no other purpose than trying to sign any of them. I hate we cant play against other european teams

hi, im an option file maker and wen it comes 2 detail im very fussy, so do certain players hav correct appearance e.g. drogba's hair and if not is there a choosable hairstyle that wud come close 2 drogbas...and also is the tight shirt option only 4 licensed puma/adidas teams, THX in advance

I think I got my first penalty in PES2010 in my 150th match or thereabouts.

As you have the 360 version, could you confirm if in edit mode it allows you to import from memory stick? It'll be a bit pointless allowing custom backgrounds in stadium mode if you can't on 360. You can hardly take a small tv with the 360 and Live camera on the road to capture backgrounds!

Nice to see an option file eager to get going. :)

I'm quite happy to report that Konami seem to have done a good job in the hair department when it comes to the big players. I've checked the likes of Drogba, Rooney, Kuyt, Torres, Essien, Wallcott, Fabregas, Terry etc and they all have hair matching their likeness. I was surprised to see Torres's so accurate as it matches his newer dark natural hair colour tone.

I've had a look at the editing in terms of templates and it seems similar to PES 2010 to be honest. Also it looks as though skin tight shirts is only available to licensed teams and not available as an option when editing teams unfortunately. It would have been a really nice touch, ah well.

They're not, however you can simply transfer them in easily as they're available to select into the squad.

What's the dribbling like? I remember finding that, unless you're Messi or of that ilk, turning 90 degrees looked like an arduous task for the player. E.g. if you're facing right and you press up, the player would take an age to turn.

Thanks for the info. How is the wing bug not fixed? Were you playing top player? I thought that guy tweeted that the issue was revolved after the massive outcry from the PES community.. That sucks.

EDIT: I think you should send the game over to me, so that I can test it out first hand. :D
