Just beat Wolves and Fulham both by the same score of 2-1 after drawing with Blackburn 1-1. I think increasing the game speed seemed to have a positive effect for me! Still though, defending at this level can be a pain! I dropped Sorensen for the reserve keeper Louis-Hamilton (not the racing car driver!) and although only an overall of 74 he's solid as you like!

The formation that I've found joy with is 5-4-1, but both my fullbacks are up by the half way line, my third centre back is in midfield and my two wide men are right up alongside my striker. I've got Jenas and O'Hara sat in midfield pulling the strings. The formation looks like it shouldn't work but somehow it does!

What formation are you using? I didn't get any joy until I switched to an ultra offensive formation.

I hope its hard, I hate to play ML with an easy difficulty.
I always picked a lower team but with the original exhibition players.
But I found out that playing Champions League not on ML is really really hard, harder than the one included in ML.

Its VERY hard, you really have concentrate and think about what you're doing. You can't just give it to a fast winger and run up the pitch, although I play it on +2 game speed just so my faster players can utilise their pace

You can actually turn those off !

Go to Management edit (or what is it called, in Game Plan), then go to auto trigger settings, and turn off auto-slide or something...

hmm...i'm start with man united in top player difficulties. Played 10 games, won 7, draw 3, This year the opposition defender seems done well. Its hard to score, especially outside the box, it needs more strategic involved to create the score chances. I found using swap wings strategic was the way to scoring.

By the way i love the new formation. Must get some time to find the best formation and strategic to suit my team.

anyway, you peaple play in 10mins game or 15mins ? i'm stick with 10mins game but will try 15mins game later.

Yes, I know how that feels. Some of the bigger sides seem to almost give you chance, then if you score first or equalize, like you said, they slip through the gears and tear your defence apart.

I started myself with default players in D2, but I brought 4 of the youngsters through.

I only brought through Palaez and Schwarz from my youth team as with most of them being so damn good I didn't want to make the first season too easy. Although I'm currently 2nd with 3rd place being about 5 points behind so I'm finding it a tad too easy, more so down to the stupidity or lack of ruthlessness from the CPU though.

Highlights include battling back to draw 3-3 with Man Utd at Old Trafford (90th minute equaliser), 2-1 win away to Tottenham (90th minute goal again!). Low lights, being battered 2-0 at Newcastle, completely out played.

So has everyone decided to start out in Division 1 or have they simply played the hell out of the game and been promoted?

If the former, then don't you guys find it boring to skip the 2nd Division? That's part of the challenge I think, longevity and all that.

I see your point but I had to start out in the Prem because I couldn't have faced playing a league full of fake teams. It has been a real challenge starting out in the top division although I'm finding my feet now, just beat Blackpool 2-0 at home and currently winning 3-0 away to Bolton (Tuncay scored an outrageous goal with the outside of his right foot).

I've edited the 2nd division to include Rangers, Celtic, AIK and Rosenborg to limit the chances of a fake team getting promoted.

If someone creates an NPower Championship patch, I'll start out in the 2nd division with QPR, but until then I'm happy to battle it out with Stoke in the Prem. Its still got longevity for me as It'll take me at least 3 or 4 seasons before I'll win anything with them.

I have started in Div 2 and am currently 2nd the same as Hunter, although We Utd are 3rd. It's hard enough for me in this league with the team I have so I'll hopefully get promoted, by then should have a much better squad.

I love to play starting second division because it makes it longer but I love also to start with a lower team so I can build my squad from behind

Im playing 4 4 2 with a diamond midfield.

I lOve PES and have always been PES over Fifa however i am getting very annoyed with my master league with Blackpool.

I have now gone to Chelsea and won, beat Man Utd at home and running over every team. I have dropped 4 points so far. Lost to Wigan 2-1 after dominating and getting sucker punched by 2 late goals and drew 1-1 with Blackburn in a game i dominated.

I am playing on top level and i am by no means excellent at the game. I would expect on top player with Blackpool to be around mid table and i find myself in the top 2. I would expect to be having tough games against Chelsea and United and if i win i would expect it be a break away goal not a game i win with ease dominating possession and play and my keeper not making a save.

I just aren't sure if the levels of play are working right as it seems way to easy. If i wanted win easy i would either play Fifa or put the level to amatuer.

What are other people's thoughts??

Glad to hear its not just me struggling with the game this time around :) not started a ML yet, probably wait for the DLC and until I have all the fake teams edited in some manner, as for the difficulty however I think I only won 1 of my first 9 games, the AI is much better this time around, and some of the goals scored against me are pretty spectacular, managed to score from 57 yards though against Sao Paolo (they bring Rogerio Ceni up for corners and to take free kicks) but for the most part I have struggled, created a new "park the bus" formation which seems to be working okay for now though :)

Slightly off topic but I am playing with Real madrid and every team apart from barcelona has played a tight tight 4-5-1 aganinst me and always look to counter atack, nice to see the AI making formation changes
