This is it lads. I definitely think PES is returning to it's former glory days..

Demo was good.

It is happening again
I don't think so. Put it this way - PES 6 was liked by pretty much every PES fan. Look at the comments so far on the demo - very mixed. Still a long way from the glory days yet.

It is still not fifa, and far being like any fifa I've played. They are 2 different games. THIS IS MORE LIKE PES 6. But people forget that pes 6 wasn't 100% sim.

Mate, part of the reason PES 6 was seen as so good, was because the competition from FIFA was dreadful, this made the game really shine out as a good game because it was easily the best of its genre

Waiting....
You've got to remember that this demo is part one of two. The second demo will probably come out a couple of weeks before release date. This demo is not the final product.

If they can manage to fix ball physics and shooting by the time they release this thing, then we have a pretty decent game.

I felt it with pes 2011, although it missed that polished and complete feel of last gen games, plus it made me snap a number of discs and effectively end up paying 90 quid for 9 months of PES.

Glad to hear enjoying pes again DJ clue as gay as that sounds:lol:

I felt pes 2011 was a step in the right direction but still wasnt up to scratch. This, however feels good, very very good

I find it scary that Konami releases a 1st demo Aug 22, will release a 2nd demo, and have discs in production for Sept 27th release in the US with all the bugs and oddities listed on this page fixed. How many hours of codewriting need to be implemented to pull all of the problems listed off. Dribbling??? They finished with that aspect a month ago - are they going back to the drawing board on that? I think not.

all of the UK folks who felt cheated by the later release there may actually get the best game with the extra time.

Best for me was PES 3 in 2004. That was so far ahead of anything else at the time! Its odd I remember playing this and thinking football games in 10 years time are going to be amazing! Well we are nearly there and I dont think we have moved on too much at all... Backwards in some ways... If you take away the graphics and animations im not sure anything has really changed that much... Wish it wasnt Konami who created PES... New game engine needs to be created for next gen consoles please! Stop flogging a dead horse!

By the way Im not an EA fan, the engine they created in 2007 is utter shite and updating that every year is just building on crap... At least the pes engine was brilliant to start with, its just out of date!

How are people getting hold of this demo? I use the Xbox 360, and was hoping for some spoken word on the matter of the demo on my console. I've been incredibly busy lately, hence my lack of understanding on the matters, but I read on our very forums that the Xbox 360 demo is being delayed...is this true?

Not that I it matters much, as I don't believe Konami should ever release such an early build demo, but this is more so curiosity of course.

Spot on and still to this day the biggest leap in quality of a yearly updated football game and what the ps2 pes glory days were built on.PES 5 was my second favorite pes of ps2 days.

No in 2006 it actually was good game... What a stupid comment, that's like saying Goldeneye on N64 wasn't that good because there was nothing around to compete with it... A game can still be good even with no competition you know!

Yep 360 demo delayed...You can still get it on ps3 and PC though. There are going to be 2 demos so 360 may just get the second one.

I agree, didnt see the point in the first demo, will probably put some people off, quite a good demo though but clearly unfinished.

Also this is confusing but here is a video from PES 3, good goals. Im pretty sure the player movement that they are hyping up this year is in this... This game looks amazing!
