It's sad, but in between running my business, I'm thinking about this bitch night and day. I'm already running central DMF's through my head for the next transfer period.

Even a fkin 1-0 win v Norwich last night felt so, so satisfying.

I know, I need to get out more.

I feel the exact samy way mate. Scoring a goal is incredibly satisfying in pes and especially in pes 12 since the AI is better than ever. No more walking around in the box, on top player, until the perfect gap opens and you take a shot and score like you want.
¨
And regarding transfers i also think about who to sign everytime i have the chance - when biking, in the metro, bus, in the the supermarket etc :)

Of course it's not just kids that play fifa. You also get a lot of overgrown men who's minds have stifled so much they may as well re-enrol back into high school with the rest of the adolescents.

As for your second point, that is rubbish I'm afraid. Fifa release their games incomplete every year. Last year it was ridden with bugs and glitches which needed patches and add ons. There was strange positional movements when controlling the players, button lag delay when online, micro freezing to the point where there was random crashes within the game. Transfer negotiation bugs in career mode. I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture. Well at least I hope you do. Anyway it was far from finished. It looked and played as if it was rushed to be released prior to the patches.

So my advice is to get this notion out of your head that fifa is the ultimate game that has no flaws or errors within it and next time, not to waste my time replying to my post spouting unfounded bullshit that has no basis.

To be fair, PES has its fair share of overgrown tosspots, but much less than Fifa. In both games, you get grown men playing the game like children.

renegade rimmer, you say fifa is way more easier and anyone can score. they've fixed it if you have played the demo. sure the demo is boring after 2 matches, but after introducing tactical defending and slowing the game speed, it feels and looks like a football match. tactical defending is a hundred times better than pes broken defending system and now you have to have the correct positioning and timing to tackle the player. In fifa the results are like one-nil (not always the case in online but the same happens in mlo) and in pes the last match i played was 5-4 which i lost because obviosly the cpu cheated and scored a header from a corner in the last minute. pes is more exciting than fifa because more action happens(more goals scored, more bookings etc.) and in fia less goals scores plus less cards because it is realistic. i mean when you watch a football match, scores vary but in pes they vary too much and in real life i watch 90 mins of football which is mostly boring. so whoever calls fifa boring is because thats fifa is better.

I personally choose pes because i love fun exciting arcadey games(no sarcasm) and it doesn't bore me and i am constantly doing something.

Fifa you don't have to practice, or take good care when controlling the players. You just play and you're rewarded instantaneously. That caters towards today's generation of spoilt attention seeking unfocused want it all now pieces of filth. That's why it sells millions of copies[/QUOTE]

Amen to that brother. Id sooner be beaten cause im not good enough to organise my defense or tactics, Than be bored to fucking tears with pick up n play footy. And believe me im getting twatted on top player. Must admit though. Some of the Ai moves are perfect and i coulden't have done much about the goals, But then again...

Fifa is not a good simulation at all and is the most overrated video game series; EA are just unrivaled and the best at marketing and first impressions(play any Fifa game long enough and you will realize that it is not the great simulation that you originally thought it was). They are also uncanny experts at labeling a basic aspect of football, that should already be unconditionally expected to be in the game anyway, with a fancy name, and then calling it an exclusive, breakthrough feature.

And speaking of features, almost all of Fifa's features are gimmicks that are ridden with inconspicuous(at first) defects. And these yearly attention-grabbing features are what EA works on the whole time, disregarding the fundamentally flawed game filled with bugs and football fallacies. But I do not blame EA, why fix something that is not broke? And in this case, it isn't the game that isn't broken, but the successful routine of releasing sloppy and awry gameplay that sells millions and rakes in the cash. And on top of that, gets excellent reviews.

Sports games cannot be reviewed consummately in less than a handful of days. But regardless, all reviews of Fifa should be disregarded and completely dismissed because even the obviously broken and unplayable, scripted Fifa games of the past also received 8's and 9's and was lauded nonstop.

I spent the weekend at my sisters place and played A LOT of FIFA12 games with her hubby and all I can say - FIFA is an absolute load of bollocks compared to PES, this year.

It has a ton of more features (nice features no less), a bunch of impressive licenses and commentators that doesn't make you wanna rip your face off but it falls behind on the most important part of it all - the gameplay.

That's just my two cents to this whole PES vs FIFA debate.

You know, I dont care about FIFA. I really dont like it.

But, talking only about PES. This is the worst Pro Evolution Soccer game ever! I have played Winning Eleven/Pro Evolution Soccer since 1996 and I still do not believe how bad is it this year. Seriously, I'm gonna sell my game next monday.

I'm very sad and disappointed to Konami. It looks like they get PES has better and finish it and what they have worst, they upgrade it. When I was playing, I was almost crying as so bad is this. Hope you guys really enjoy it cause I'm leaving this year. With my heart broken, but it is. Feel so.

Still hoping that a new company will join the battle and blow away konami and ea

it's going to be a rough ride, the only company that can defeat EA i can think off is 2K games but even then EA has all the licenses but for some people license wouldn't really matter.

how can a guy from Brazil not be playing a football game all year! If you're on PC then try the Jenkey mod, it fixed dribbling, shooting and GK even tweaked AI, give it a shot.

I didn't get the relation about the fact that I live in Brazil with do not like tha game this year...

So, I play on PS3, not PC. And I have no idea what is Jenkey Mod but, I'm really disappointed with the gameplay, it's absolutely terrible. The graphics, teams, the rest of game I love it, but I'm still thinking that this is the worst gameplay ever on series. Sorry if you don't agree, but it's my opinion.

The more I play the game the more exposed I am to its problems. Catch up AI is back, scripted goals are back, bad goalkeepers are back, out of date rosters are back, a further lack of licensed teams are back, and the ability to use Copa Libertadores teams against European teams is totally absent.

I will never play FIFA, I can't stand it. FIFA has completely assimilated all of the best PES has come to offer over the last 12 years without any shame, but the fact of the matter is I am sick and tired of continually giving my money to Konami only to see a complete lack of effort in their finished product. As big a fan I am of Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo, even I was disparaged to see them included on the Corinthians roster almost a year after their departure. This is simply unacceptable.

There used to be a time when statistics mattered in PES. Now statistics are completely meaningless. Why include explosive power and speed stats when slow players can catch the fast ones all the same? Why change the shooting mechanics? I cannot tell you guys how many times I've had clear shots on net with Kaka or Neymar only to see the ball balloon harmlessly land into the keepers arms. And what is with the defensive AI? I play the game on either Professional or World Class settings and every team parks the bus.... Every team! On counter attacks the defensive AI regroups at almost light speed. Breaking down the defense at the top of the box is near impossible because they always have 10 men behind the ball.

The ball physics are also a joke. Whenever the AI takes the ball to the lines and I win the ball back on a challenge it always goes out, and they regain possession on a throw in. Whenever I line dribble for some reason the defensive AI always wins the ball back clean and I scrambling to prevent a massive counter attack. I can't tell you how many times the ball will pinball off my players and land in a cushioned fashion on an attacking player already in forward motion.

This game is simply broken. It is frustrating, and it is more importantly not fun. PES 2009 may have had limited animations, but at least you can counter the AI with one-two passes, long shots, and defensive organization. That game rewarded possession. In 2011 and 2012 possession means nothing. I was using Santos and was winning 1-0 against Jaguares. They had zero attempts on net. All of a sudden at around minute 50 the scripting kicks in and I get destroyed. None of my passes work, all of my shots on net are either straight at the keeper or harmless, and every time I lose the ball I am being counter attacked into oblivion.

For those that truly believe that they fixed the keepers with the last update, I call bullshit. All of a sudden all my shots became directed at the keepers. It isn't that they improved the keeper AI as much as they destroyed the shooting. Back to Winning Eleven 6 for me.

That's what I'm talking about... everytinhg about the gameplay that it's absolutelly terrible on PES 2012. It's very sad to say that I bought my game last wednesday and I'm gonna sell it next monday. Can't stand anymore.

I have to say peeps I'm considering selling my PS3 copy for all of the reasons above. I might just buy the PC version when it comes out and put a shit load of modifications on there to get rid of all this scripting. Master league is simply riddled with cheating and I can stand no more

I had 12 fifa bought for me last week and ive been playing it heavily while waiting for pes 2012. i thought i'd give it a chance, unbiased etc. Ived hammered pes 2011 and i love the game, but the unresposive button press in mlo really pissed me off (never quite made it to division 2). After putting in the hours with fifa 12, i really dont understand the high ratings its recieved. Its a huge pile of shit and im glad it wasnt my money that paid for it. Ive gone back to the pes 2012 demo 2. This pes looks and plays awesome. apparently the keepers are going to be fixed (long range goals galore!). To me there is no contest.
I cannot believe some people are slagging this year's pes off.

PES has been lacking these last years and it's finally up on a similar level as FIFA is, and you're leaving NOW?

My brother-in-law made the switch to PES this year after having played FIFA for about as long as they have existed.

Me too, seeing how FIFA 12 failed (imo) was just hilarious. I decided to go for PES this year. Was totaly convinced after playing the demo of PES.
