Was browsing eBay before and decided to search for PS3 and quite alot are being sold on there. Some are at £800 with time still left and some seller added into his description if the bid goes over £1000 he will add in 2 free games. This is alot of money for a console really I mean the 360 is probably just as good so I was wondering is anyone off here actually going to get one when they come out?

it shouldn't be (not holding my breath) that high when launched here, it just as it being launched, the prices will die down.

basic laws of pricing, less items = higher price.

Yeah I just checked play and its due for release 7th of March and theres a bundle where you get the 60GB Console and 3 games along with controllers and leads etc for £549.99.

I doubt i'll get unless they release some good games on it. Now GTA will come to the 360 i might as well stick with that as Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo don't interest me anymore.

there only one prob with gta on x box, its either going to be of low quality or its going to come on more then one disk.

I have been seriously debating on whether to get the 360 or the PS3. And have came to an decision that Im getting the 360. Just as good games will probably come out ( Due to some company' s fed-up with doing exclusives... ). 2 things put me off of the PS3:

1) The motion controller... maybe it will be used just for vehicles ? But seriously, think about using that controller for something like GTA. Sucks. I also have heard that the standerd PS3 controller will be the motion one. So will we be alouad to use a controller without a motion sensor ?

2) The price. Ridiculous. Blu-ray, if that doesn' t succeed as sony think it will, then you would be paying the extra 200 ( ? ) for nothing.

So to answer the question, no I will not be getting an PS3.

I will wait a while until a fair few games are out and it is cheaper, I don't see the point of paying an extra £500 just so you can play it a few months earlier

PS3 is a must for me, PES is desiged around the Dualshock controller and will always work best for the game if you ask me.

I guess I will go for the PS3. I am not really in a hurry at the mo as PES6 is available for the PS2, but as soon as PES7 comes out, I will probably be forced to move over to the PS3.

Nope. Everything that comes out for the PS3 comes out for the 360. :) Except MGS, but that's been going down hill since the first.

I recommend buying a 360, why wait until march to play the likes of F.E.A.R. & CoD3? When you could be playing them now?

Well I just pre-ordered a Wii but I might be tempted by a PS3 when it comes out. If not, will get one at some point next year.

Why? Because certain games will be better on the PS3, and the 360 is rather naff, you can say I'm just jealous but I had one and sold it due to me thinking it was bollocks and in the end gave up playing games and used it as an expensive DVD player.

I'm gonna stick with my 360. All the games i like will be available for both consoles anyway, not that arsed about MGS as i hated the last 2 they made and i've never really liked the GT games either.

The only other reason i can think of getting a PS3 is for Resident Evil 5. My all time favourite games franchise but then you've also got Halo 3 exclusive to the 360.

Tough choices....

Xbox has never really attracted me to it. My brother has pre-ordered the Wii which I am also glad because I am quite excited about it. Thought Gamecube was okay but the Wii really excites me.
