I bought Carlos Tenario at the start of the ML. He's cheap and tears chunks out of most defenses in the 2nd division. 5 goals in his first 2 games at top player is not bad. Don't know how he improves if at all.

I always play with 4 backs. Full backs are too important in my opinion. They give a good balance and can be keep pushed back if under pressure or act like wingers in you're attacking.

I don't play online but if there are people who constantly pick Barca or Inter, just pick the same team as them. When I'm playing with my brother we get 3 randoms each and pick the best team.

It's supposed to be realistic. Generally, teams do score goals in matches and not every team can defend like Italy.

Rio Ferdinand is the most overrated player in the last 2 PES games. He's like a tank when you playing against him. In a real match he wouldn't go into a dark room.

Slotting past the keeper might work if a right footed player comes in from the right, or left footed player from the left, and you use square and R2 to kick it with the outside of the foot (which usually happens anyway). Didn't try it yet though.

I think you have to direct your shots a lot more than in the older games. I still can't get it right either.

Good book. It's worth buying. Gives good formations for most of the best teams and explains what the attributes and special attributes actually mean. Ya can't go wrong, it don't cost much.
