Would someone be able to recommend a free and easy to use PS4 option file to me please ?

I am just looking for basic option file for EPL & Cup competitions with correct team names and player names.

There are good option files in this website, such as FBNZ option file or Erzo's option file (and others). Take a look at the "Complete Option Files" section

I purchased and installed the game last night, I have not run it yet

Do I need to install any updates before installing the option file ?

Yes. on main menu install the update from konami, enter the game, update to datapack 1.0 and install. Live update
