AMF in the Lower Midfield

Has anyone coupled 1 AMF alongside 1 DMF in the defensive half of the midfield? If so, how does the AMF behave versus how a CMF will behave? Does he make deeper and more frequent attck runs than a CMF will? And if his Defense is set to high, will he defend just as a CMF would?

Thanks.

yupss.... but he will not get more interceptions unless he has high def. Alonso, fabregas, sneijder, xavi... good at that.. playing am in the center or back of the midfield.

If you use that AMF in lower midfield he ,no doubt, attack more than a standard CMF. But the downside is they generally defend poorly and their stamina quickly goes down (because they have to go up front and come back down).
If all you want is to use an AMF in a lower midfield position I advise you to put it as CMF. (For instance in Italy I use Pirlo as CMF although he doesn't have that position, with astonishing effects).

In this game i find that too often, players do not obey their positions. If you place a CB eg. Puyol on the LB position he will not stay there...in fact he will constantly move to the centre its very annoying when your in the middle of the season and your squad is stretched.

So when you place an AMF deep in midfield, make sure he is set to default position as an AMF, if so he will play that position well. But if he is set as a LM on default position, then he will stray all over the place.
