In an important game in BAL tevez stepped up for a penalty, took the penalty, and the keeper saved it. The ball came back to tevez for him to put the ball in the back of the net but instead he had his hands on his head sulking cause he missed the penalty! so the ball rolled right passed him and we didn't get a goal.

This isn't the first time animations let me down, they stifle the gameplay pretty badly. For instance when your running to head the ball from a corner kick and you run into another player. Your player spins out of control and the ball has been and gone before he can recover!

Anyone else getting cheesed off by animations?

Im getting cheesed off with the lack of annimation in total. Just makes the gameplay so boring.

Another one is if you hit a free kick into the wall, and it bounces back, loads of times the freekick taker has just stood on the spot, walking as if he were on a treadmill, means I can't create another chance easily.

Kicker is just pissed that he missed. That's why you can't use him for 5 seconds.

Pes's annimation is basic at best. Fifa has great annimations. Like there are loads of annimations for each situation for example in fifa there are loads of different annimations just for a slide tackle wether its 2 footed or how far they slide. In pes they just do the 1 or 2 sliding annimations which look plain and simple. Same for everything else.

I agree fully on tackling - particularly the reactions of the player who has been tackled. Superb on FIFA.

I think you're being overly harsh on PES though - it's average, I admit - and compared to FIFA it seems very poor. Also, another irritating thing is there are no new animations.

Yh i guess im going all little over the top but my frustration is mainly pointed at how easy it should be to do near the same level of annimation but they dont do it. For me its the little extras you get with commentry, annimations, atmospere etc that make great gameplay.

Agreed.. WHY don't we see New Dribbling Animations?? Or Defensive Animations?? Or Any New Animation?

I like the balance and gameplay of PES 2009, but I cannot help but feel disappointed at the Lack of Elaboration. I think the PES series needs a LOT of New Animations, they need to Revolutionize their system of Stats and Special Abilities, and the 8 Directional Movement needs to be Updated.

I think PES 2009 is a huge improvement over PES08, but it hasn't really "evolved" from what the PS2 versions offered.

Alike the PS2 versions of PES, PES09 is that game that "would be great IF it had more Animations, and more Directions, and more Stats, and better Commentaries".

Pes has some god-awful animations, they don't seem that realistic compared to fifa.
