Anyone still use the drag back, or V-Feint moves in 09?

Anyone using these moves now that the move is mapped to the controller, not with the use of the shoulder button?

I used to use these moves all the time, but now I only occassionally, do, and usually not on purpose. Maybe the move itself is less effective in 09???

Most special moves I make are by complete accident. I REALLY miss the trick stick. Every time I try to intentionaly make a special move I just lose the ball because it takes me too long. In short, I kind of suck w/ the new trick system and am better off using ball movement rather than one-on-one moves.

Cheers!

I have no idea what the V-Feint is.

I have never been a fan of using feints but I did use them ocaccionaly now

I only do the step over in order to gain terrain in the intent of centering the ball.

My team this season is quite limited (I play at a league with friends) so I don’t get many chances to try feints.

i used the drawback constantly in 08 in 09 NEVER i hate how they mapped the R3 stick this year its almost a pointless button. i wish we had the choice to use last years person. flicking the ball up last year was easier to and i used that some

I used the roulete and the drageback... I would make my friends look foolish...

now, all I got are the stepovers... what I miss the stick for really was the chip up...

that used to piss several people off... chipping the keeper and then shooting it in, or chipping the defender then dribbling the keeper

the best way to pass a keeper with style, is coming from a diagonal path to a 1-on-1, and just when the keeper is about to come to you- use the roulette. its a sweet move but needs some practice!

I use the fake shot maybe 100 times per match. It gets me past so many defenders. I use the roulette every now and then. When the roulette works it leaves the defenders in the dust.

Yes, I find that the fake shot is by far the most effective 'trick' (if you can call it that), although I wouldn't say I used it anywhere near to 100 times a match.

Until recently, I used only roulette and fake shot (fake shot very often).

But I went into free training to learn all the moves off of the command list and am now using nearly all moves actively.

I use chip the ball up, one and two feet roulette, I have pulled off the matthews feint a few times but am not sure how to do it exactly.

Also using R1 + R2 to cancel moves like shot, pass and cross, rather than using fake shot to cancel.

Also am using the special move in which you press down & up / up & down quickly (possibly V-Feint?)

Can't figure out how to use flip-flap definatley, can't understand the instructions, although I know it can be done with players only of high skill. And I have in-advertinley pulled it off very nicely in awkward situations.

Try It With Robinho, Hes The Best In The Game. All You Need To Do Is Press Quickly To The Right Than Quickly To The Left (with A Slight Angle Upwards). Can Work Also The Opposit Way.

So, it sounds like it is pretty much not just me, and they have ruined some perfectly good gameplay by removing the shoulder button for these moves.

The point is that you can still do the drag back, just tap backwards twice on the controller. The V-Feint is simply where you tap backwards twice (used to be while holding a shoulder button) then while you are in that animation you push forwards and at an angle towards your players favoured foot - sort of like pulling the ball back then quickly pushing it ahead (making a "V" motion with your player and the ball) and you could beat players that way when in tight situations. It was a nice move.

I think the problem is that now that you don't hold the trigger to initiate this, you might get it wrong and then be facing in the opposite direction unintentionally. With the trigger held that meant your player was "safe" to perform this move, because even if the double-tap failed to initiate you would still be facing towards goal as you intended...

I'll try it some more next time i play, but my point is that I used to use it all the time and now I never do, so obviously they have taken a step backwards in this regard by removing the triggers/shoulder buttons from these moves. I'm still not sure what advantage they saw in doing this, though it seems to work okay for the roulette.
