Good reviews so far but folks are saying its more or less the first one with a few added accessories (with one of the longest tutorials ever@5 hours).

I'll pick this when it drops, right now onto God of War collection!

Should be getting this on friday if all goes well. I am ordering games like crazy but I'm playing PES 2010, Uncharted 2 and I have MLB 09 on the way in december. I haven't finished Bioshock or Fallout 3. What happened to the days of buying a game and not leaving your room until it is done.

The irony is when I had the time I didn't have the money.
Now I have the money but not the time.

Pre-ordered this yesterday. I quite enjoyed the first one - but as has been said above, its repetitative - but there's the potential for a really fun and unique game.

Got this yesterday and I have been playing it constantly. Missions much better than simply eavesdropping or doing a pickpocket. A lot more immersive in the story as well as quite a few sidequest that I also find enjoyable to do like looking for the codex pages. However I hate trying to crack subject 16's codes since they are all history related which means I don't have a fucking clue so I just wing it.

The parkour is even more fluent than the first game. I've so far racked up over 11 hours on Assassin's Creed II.

I'm loving it so far. There's so much more to do than the original. I've played near ten hours and I've probably only completed less than 5% of the game. It's like a cross between Uncharted and GTA4. Maybe not as good as either, but since I'm nowhere near completing it, I reserve further judgment. However, the 'The Truth' element of the game has made me cum several times.

I don't think there is much as I thought there was. I got the game on Thursday and I have already got 48 of the 50 achievements. The last 2 being collecting all the feathers (which I have already collected 70/100) and wear the Auditore cape in each city (which you get after collecting 100 feathers). There isn't much armour, weapons etc to buy so once you upgrade your stronghold a few times then you are pretty much settled and soon you will be raking in a lot more than you will probably spend. The only things so far that seem worthwhile getting are the Assassin Seals and Codex Pages.

Overall I think it is a good game but once you get to Venice I think you are pretty much done it all.

The other disappointing thing for me is that technically there is only 2 cities in this game (Tuscany and Forli are pretty small). I thought Rome was going to be the third main city since it has its own icon in the map's legend but you only go their briefly.

Despite that, I really enjoyed Assassin's Creed II. I was pretty much addicted to game since I got it and I will probably play it a little bit longer to get the last 2 achievements.

Mate MLB09 never made it to South Africa and I'm getting it at half price. I'll have enough time to get good play out of it and sell it at a decent price come march.
