Assassins Creed Revelations

Just finished the game, so don't read this, if you're still playing it:

Ezio ending was quality. Desmond ending was good too although, like Brotherhood, they left it on a bit of a cliff-hanger. I'm guessing the next game will be the last one and that will have Desmond as the main character, rather than an ancestor. Overall, I think this is the best Assassins Creed I've played (haven't played the first one yet, but that came with ACR, so I'll probably get stuck into that soon.)

Bye Ezio :crymore:

I don't have the game but watched the ending (don't ask why), this will carry on in the spoiler tages if you've finished the game.

I think there's more of Ezio to come, prehaps as some DLC. But yes hopefully the next game will be just Desmond.

Also, did you notice one of the 'Those Who Came Before' looked like Ezio, Desmond etc.

Maybe. I'd certainly be interested in seeing what Ezio did on his return to Constantinople from Masyaf. Personally, I think the ending would've been better if Ezio, having spoken to Desmond, had sat down in the chair next to Altair and died in the same way, but obviously that wouldn't have worked, what with Sofia waiting outside and all the stuff left to do in Constantinople.

I suppose they kinda do look similar, although it's kinda hard to tell due to that guy having a helmet on.

I finished the game, in under 24 hours, which was disappointing to say the least. However, the game its self I cannot complain at. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, Assassin's Creed games are my favorites. Only due to the incredible story. 9/10.

Ok, so I'm probably about a quarter of the way through this game, can't say I'm massively impressed so far. It seems that instead of trying to improve the core gameplay (which is looking very dated), Ubisoft have just done the lazy thing and added pointless stuff. Having the Assassins in the last game was pointless enough.... but bombs??? When do you ever need to use bombs?
Stealth is completely useless really, there's no real advantage. Ezio is capable of walking into a crowd of ten enemies and coming out unscathed, then bribing an official to get rid of the "wanted level".

To add to that, enemy AI is hopeless. Here are some example thoughts of what must go on in the heads of the enemy soldiers:

"Hmmmm, who's that strange man in the hood, with the body armor? I am slightly suspicious. Oh wait, I think he's noticed my suspicions, now he's heading towards a group of people and.. oh wait, he's disappeared. I must be going doolally."

"Hmmm, why is that strangely dressed fellow walking on the roof. I think I'll check him out. He seems to be walking behind a chimn... oh wait, he's vanished. I must be going bonkers."

I have no idea what the Desmond bits are about either.

The series needs a massive overhaul for part 3.

I agree with you about the bombs - from time to time, they can be useful, but I rarely see the point of using them, when I can just shoot guys with my crossbow/arrows or get another assassin to assassinate them.

For the Desmond bits, you need to have played the last couple of games. If you're talking about the memory core parts, it's basically telling his life story.

I'm talking about the memory parts. It's just a load of walking about putting blocks down. A bit random really.... and why does Desmond look different in every game??

Yeh, that's a bit weird, but I think it's something to do with re-piecing Desmond's memory/brain. It is a bit weird, but the life-story he tells while he's doing it is quite interesting to listen to. I haven't got all the memory things yet, so maybe, when I do get round to finishing it, they'll show why we had to do it.

I think Desmond looking different in every game is down to improved graphics - the same slight differences occur with all the other characters in the game.

I don't think so. If you look at (for example) Drake through the Uncharted series, with each game he looks better and better due to improved graphics..... but he still looks like Drake. With Assassins Creed, it's like they've found a replacement actor to play Desmond in each game.

EDIT: I hate that they've gotten rid of the glyph puzzles. I liked trying to work those out, or rather... failing to work them out and looking on t'internet.

The difference is a razor, basically. You shave from time to time, don't you?

I've been playing through this as I'd like to complete it before moving onto ACIII but I've had major issues with the Desmond's Journey parts. I managed to complete the first sequence after the game initially crashed, then also crashed once I'd completed it. When I go to attempt the second sequence it has crashed about 7-8 times now. I gave up on it in the end and went back to the other missions but does anyone know of a way to solve this so I can actually attempt the Desmond part? After the first sequence I can't say I'm too keen on trying the rest but I would like to complete that part of the story.
