Playing top player normally is different to playing top player in BAL...

Choose your difficultly wisely as you can only change the difficulty level at the end of the season.

Played first two Seasons, Played CMF, on Top player Didnt score any assisted 2. Changes the difficulty down to the second highest cos it was a pain in the ass not being able to score. Third Season, first game 1 goal and 1 assist. :D

According to the official guide your teamates will always be Professional. Makes sense play on Pro then since Regular will give your teamates the advantage and Top Player will give your teamates a big disadvantage.

Now it makes sense to me why my teamates seems to be stupid and unskilled compared to my opponents. My teamates are only Professional level while i play the game on TopPlayer difficulty!

My team with better players all around compared to my opponents seem to struggle to score, let alone win matches or defend a lead.

I've tried the game on every level...and it looks like your player will improve a lot more on higher difficulty...Pro or Top seem to be the best. I've been playing with Boro on Amateur and even though I've played 9 games (started 4), scored 3 and 1 assist with an average rating of 6.5 (thanks to Southgate for throwing me on with 2 mins to go for 3 games) - I have YET to improve my stats!

When I played with the Magpies as an SS, I improved a lot in my second season playing on Top Player...is it just me or is the Centre Midfield the hardest position to get a good rating!

Centre mid is easy if you stick to your role :)

Some people playing in the centre mid position play more as a SS or CF... I've scored about 10 goals this season playing as DMF for Chelsea. :)

Just beat Arsenal 5-1! I didn't score, but I got taken out twice in the pen area... Rooney skied one of the pens, and score the other... Even though I never got any goals or assists, I still got MOTM :D

All on top player as well :)

I've tried a few games as a Centre Mid...and I play well but I never get the rating. I mean...30 completed passes, a few shots on target, a few interceptions and nothing more than a 6.5 - annoyed me so I've begun again as an SS
