I have the measly Veritas Record Now software as the only DVD-burning software on my PC. Will this do?

OK, im not sure what Im doing wrong:

I've got a modded PS2 (Matrix, the best available here in Brazil)
I've got a DVD burner and I'm using DVD-RW (maybe this is the problem?)
And, when I download Jonoboy's patch, it comes in three parts, but they seem to be all the same file

Read the WinRar thread to see how to uncompress the patch (in the thread index in General Editing).

Use simple DVDR for more chance of it working.

I did but I still don't understand, because I can only extract 1/3 files because they are all the same according to my computer!

Never heard of that s/w Flipper. Get a trial version of Alcohol120% or Nero if you can.

Romanista - install WinRAR and follow the unrarring guide and you should be left with a single .ppf patch file.

Zygalski: I've read it several times, but it doesnt say anything about multiple RAR files, like in Jonoboy's patch, which contain 3 of them.

There are three compressed files (part 1,2,3) I extract one, and there is no problem, but, when I try to extract the second part it says that the file already exists in that location, because the name is the same in all three of the uncompressed files

Can you please explain me what to do without referring to the RAR guide?

Make sure the 3 files are in the same folder. Extract the first part. It will automatically extract all 3 to make the ppf file. That's it. Done. If it hasn't worked, you wouldn't get the ppf. Clear?

I have a big problem. Help me!
When I open Nero - goto recorder->burn image-> find patched pes4iso , there is this error script:
"the whole lenght of the block is not in conformity with the lenght of the image. The lenght of the block is wrong. Do you want to correct o ignore the problem?"
It makes no difference wheter i correct or wheter ignore this.
My original Dvd Pes4 is the italian pal version (only one language).
Is it possible that the patch is good only for a multilanguages dvd PES4???

I have used Alcohol 120 . This program burns the image but at the end the Dvd is ko.
I think that the problem is this:
in the jonboyo read me file at 5) says Open ppfomatic choose new pes4.iso-SIZE-1.71 GB, then choose patch 'jb30.10.04pes4.ppf".
But my original pes4.iso SIZE is 1,14 GB.
When I apply the patch the new size is 1,71 GB.
Maybe the patch should be applied only with the original iso size 1.71.
Is it possible to do anything?

The ISO must be 1.71GB or it won't work. If you have made an ISO from an original PES4 then the image will be this size.

errr can you play the patched version of pro evo on an ordinary ps2 if not how do i mod my ps2 >.> ? thanks

piter - what do you mean?? You can't patch your original disk. You have to apply the patch to an image of the original and burn it.

Flo - you need to either chip your ps2 or use the flip-top-lid or slide card methods.

Problem:

-I have made a clean ISO of the original PES4 for the PS2
-I patched it with the 272MB jonboyo patch (30.10.04)
-Then the latest 17.11 small patch
-After that, I tried editing it with the ''Graphic Studio 04 11 11''
-but when I try open the DATA J.AFS, it says ''Unable to open AFS file''



I have tried opening the unpatched PES4 DATA J.AFS with ''Graphic Studio 04 11 11'', it worked with no problem I can edit everything. But when I apply the patch it doesn't open the AFS file.


Should I download the big 272MB patch again ?

(Directed at Zyg but other specialists can answer)
