hey! thanks for the more practical advice... i'll go try it out when i get home tonight. It's more difficult to get a good rating on a harder difficulty. thinking of scaling down the difficulty level from top player.

I played 1 season right now, got 7.5 at most. I play 10 minutes matches. Think that the time decides rating. If you play 30 minutes matches Ive seen payers got 9.0 and so on. But think this is a "bug". Longer matches, more time to score, make passes, dribbel distance and so on. Hope its not like that, but seems to be. :(
Am I right?

I play 10 min matches, and I have had a 8.5 ... and I think I also had one 9..... But mostly get 6.0-7.5.

Hi,

does anyone known how international section work. i played my bollocks off last season and won pretty much everything going but was still over looked by england. any ideas?

Stuff with internationals and awards seems completely random. I just won the World Cup, was top scorer with 8 goals and I wasn't included in the team of the tournament. And the best thing of all is, the player of the tournament was Gilardino who wasn't even in the Italy squad for the cup:D:D And he also didnt make the best squad of the cup:rolleyes::D

didn't get called for international duty until my third season, subbed during europinean cup qualifiers. Then started a few friendlies and the international cup. Just play your hole off and eventually you will be selected, scored four goals against portugal (I'm starting for Ireland) which was unbelievable. They were all 30 yard spankers too.

Has anyone noticed the new bugs? For instance, running up the wing with a defender closing in and suddenly your player stops. This could be in part down to the fact that I use the default wide angle vertical view you are given when you start BAL.

Another bug that has happened on several occassions. Outside the box, left or right, cross the ball in and my player remains fixed to the spot where he released the ball. If the ball stays in play my character will remain static until the ball goes out of play. :realmad:

Has anyones club made transfers? I'm on my 2nd season with Boro and they have no signed or sold anyone. I was just curious is BAL player's clubs stand still in the transfer market... i sure hope not.

I was at Milan for 4 seasons and the only transfer they made was they got Dudek during the january transfer window when I first arrived. Besides that, they made NO moves.

I don't think this is how the AI always is. My first season in BAL I was with Villa and they signed Pires. Then my second season I played with Everton and they got Xavi and Iniesta.

Yep, in my second BaL season with Wigan they signed Lee Won-Jae the Korean goalkeeper, and in my fourth season with Arsenal they signed Leitgeb and Schweinsteiger. The club we're currently playing for does seem rarely sign any player, unlike other clubs.

I'm in my 3rd season & my first with Marseille. They've bought Gareth Bale & I'm sure a couple of others. My previous teams of Everton & Man City had both also signed players, but no big names.

just play for 1st team for 5 matches
scored 2 and assist 2
great game for me so far

What system are you using?? If it's on PC then there is a seperate thread for it. If it's on PS3 then I haven't had this problem & I'm halfway through my 3rd season. Try loading it up from your last save & hurry through matches till you reach the same point where it froze, see if it is a one time thing (which it will continue playing) or whether it is something wrong with the system/file (I'm afraid you'll probably have to start again). If it's Xbox then I don't know, but probably do the same as the PS3 description above

the problem is on PC....it has happen 3-4 times already...i had to start BAL every time the thing froze...i have done the konami patch to fix it...but will try new BAL soon

see how it goes :D

Alright, not too sure about PC, but I reckon that is the last you should see of the problem.

What is the highest match rating? I've played some amazing games yet i have never got higher than 8.0. Is it the highest?

ok. i keep reading abt how people have amazing first few seasons. scoring a shit load of goals on top player...

oh yeah... what's the difference btw top speed and dribbling speed.

top speed is off the ball running?
dribbling speed is while you;re running with the ball?
how about when you tap the ball far away when you're on a counter
dribbling speed?
