Best (and worst) Teams for Online Matches? (PES 5)

Ok... I finally figured out that playing as Arsenal is just not going to win me many matches on Xbox Live.

The reason for this is that Konami has just made many of the players in the team very incosistent, most notably the defenders who occasionally just go absolutely nuts and become lemmings as soon as you get a goal against. Also they've given Lehman pretty low stats and a pretty low consistency score...

In single-mode I pretty much always play with Arsenal, but obviously I've made some of the stats more fair and up to date.

But in online-mode, you have to get by with what you get.

Today I switched to a team that to me seems more stable, Chelsea, and it immediately proved to be a wise choice. They seem more stable at the back and Cech is also pretty decent it seems...

So my question is: What are the best and most stable teams to play with online, and which are just not suited to do well, like Arsenal...

Inter, Real Madrid , Brazil , France, Juventus , AC Milan are among the top picks with onlines users. Which is the biggest fault; everyone takes these. Somehow I always get beaten by Sao Paolo though :/

I try to avoid these when I play online ; although when the opponent picks one of these it's almost obligatory to take one as well otherwise you'd have to be a pretty damn good player.

Thanks Barry. yeah those seem to be the teams that are most popular... although I did get beaten by a guy that had Man Utd today, who made very good use of Nistelrooy's ability to shield the ball with his back, then turn and shoot... which always sucks cause you somehow think that's a cheap goal, as your defender shouldnt be helpless against that, but in this game, they are, especially when there's alittle lag involved... :crymore:

I play with Chelsea now. Seems to be a bit more stable in the back, where Arsenal used to lose their heads and just go bananas once they would have a goal against them...

The only real problem is that they dont have any particular good free-kick takers. Arsenal has Henry, and most of the other big name teams also have good free kick takers, but Chelsea has Lampard, who's got a powerfull shot but quite mediocre accuracy and curl...
I used to score quite a few goals with free kicks when I had Arsenal, so that's a shame I miss those.

Also, Drogba seems to be an absolute worthless imbecile in front of goal, always heading over. I now have Gudjonson and Crespo up front. Both are ok-ish, not great.

I might try to play some games with Barca, or maybe even Real Madrid...

Yeah I tried Barca, with Eto'O and larson up front, with Dinho ina free role from left midfield... and it played OK. However, the goalkeeper doesnt make a very good impression. like Lehman, he's kinda inconsistent
Also, both Eto'O and Larson dont seem to great at heading the ball in from a cross...

Might try out AC Milan and Juventus, however I dont really like either team...

I always have and will always play as the team I support, whether they are the easiest to play with or the hardest, I will just try my best to get used to the team if they are hard to use, of course if I have no choice I shall have to play as another side but whenever possible I shall try to play as Liverpool, I see no point in trying out every team just to see who the easiest to use is, but I presume that the easiest and best team to play as would be the best Football teams (those that always or usually win).

That were my feelings before as well... but I just suddenly figured out that Konami had made Arsenal's defence and keeper WAY to inconsistent to get much joy out of playing with them online.
It's no fun when you have a team, you play well, and suddenly your opponent can give a simple throughball and score an easy goal simply cause your defence is sleeping and Lehman screws up.

In offline-mode I can fix that ofcourse, so I've given Lehman and some of the players the stats they deserve.... but obviously that doesnt work in online mode...

So now I prefer playing with teams that at least have a consistent keeper and defence, so I at least have a fair chance online.

Not that Barca is all that great btw. Had 3 penalties with Ronaldinho so far, and managed to hit the woodwork on all 3 of those occasions... (but we all already knew that the penalty-system in PES is a fucking joke)

everyone calls you a 'Noob' for using brazil and rightly so..games dont get any more boring than brazil vs brazil. You might as well just buy fifa 03 and take it in turns to score basketball style.

Arsenal,Barca,Man Utd,Inter,Newcastle and for national Italy or England are my teams.

I love to play online but what gets on my mamory glands is the noobs that always play as Barca, AC Milan, Brazil etc... all the super elite teams!
I only play as my beloved Toon Army or England. I can not bring myself to play as another team which I do not support. It is a real treat when I play Liverpool.

Where are all the Everton fans? Where are the Spurs boys? They are all hiding behind their Barca masks! Your teams are not that bad - you can win without playing as the elite teams.

I'm actually liking Liverpool more in PES6. Crouch has better stats, which gives you more options. But i do prefer starting with Kuyt and Bellamy

The Noobs Love Barca, AC Milan and especially Brazil

2 UTILISE THEIR FAVOURITE PLAYER AS IF HE WERE SUPERMAN:

Noobs adore Ronaldinho and Adriano. They make them run like a blue arsed fly from the half way line, then dribble across the pitch and never, ever pass to their other team members.

The noobs are predictable and they are everywhere!

Please post other comments about the noobs - hopefully they will be shamed into picking the teams they actually support

I pick man united and utilise C.Donaldo and Rooney yes, it makes sense. But I hate it when people pick brazil when they ain't brazilian or barca when they don't support them. etc etc.

Btw Rivaldo? He ain't played for brazil since 2002 lol.

That is easy to say if your fav team is Man U my team is Utrecht try that against Barcalona.
I used to wait for my oponement to pichk a team and than I would take something equal but that would usualy end up playing top teams too bad (some ppl even try to trick you by pretending to take a weak team and quickly switching it for a top side).
But the teamI used to take the most was The Netherlands who are quite decent in the games.

And an other team everybody seems to use Inter that adriono is so anoying he is just too strong in pes 5 not sure about 6 yet.
