I always seem to get endless amounts of abuse from the commentators despite playing well. My favourite recently has to be:

"I think they're trying to bore their opponents to death"

(Or something along those lines)

i can't remember the exact words but when trevor says at half time "the ref just had to make bookings" when it's been a cardless half.

No he meant the ref was going out to dinner that night but wasn't sure which restuarant. To hedge his bets, he reserved tables at a select few. :D

i like the one where ure drawing 1-1 and trevor says "well a goal now would really turn this game around" and peter replies "yes trevor, i think everyone was aware of that" they should have more banter between the commentators i think, it would b class 2 hear them take the piss out of each other

I'm a big fan of the repetitive & moronic commentary.

A few faves...

'That's a clever move to intercept that pass' - almost constant throughout the game and winds up my wife every time he says it

Brooking in excited voice..' Now that's a pin-point pass'

'Everybody knew what he was going to do, and he's gone and done it'

'The defenders knew what the strikers had in mind' - sounds quite sinister, just what do strikers have in mind? Arson, buggery?

'He's having a dink?' - a what?!

I love it when Trev says "this has potential". A friend of mine always says women have "potential" and it always brings a smile to our faces when Trev whips out the line.

LOL at this thread. LOVE the awkward silence thing.

Do ya reckon they will ever change the commentators, or will we still be listening to "they're really going at it, hammer and tongs" and "It's been a ding-dong battle between these two teams" in PES18 or something?

I think the above commentary is beginning to look more like a joke. More often than not the keeper did actually make a good save.
