is it just me or is anyone else gettin poor responsiveness when playing online, press a button and the player does the action 5 hours later. i dont see many ppl discussing this on here so i was just wondering if it was just me?

No its not just you, The game play lag seems to have gone and been replaced buy that i have lost about 4 games due to button lag.

However if the connection is fine there is usually no button lag, that is what i have found anyway.

I was actually gonna start a thread about this too. 1in3 games I play have horrific button lag and I just wann throw my pad out the window! I notice it especially when changing players, if the opposition are running at me and im trying to change which defender to control it takes forever and I just get murdered, I sincerely hope this is a bug that can be fixed as its enough to put me off playing online and with the AI being sh*te against the COM even on top player it's disappointing.

yep me too, yesteday was a joke, i actually counted the 2 second delay from pressing to the response, ridiculous. Sack the board!

The strange thing is that i dont suffer from any lag whatsoever when i use any other game with the same connection. its just pes that has such a problem. WHEN WILL THEY EVER STOP BEING CHEAP AND GET A DECENT SERVER !!!

ive only had one game with atleast a 2 second button delay. i stayed to the end of the game and lost 3-0. it seemed my opponent wasnt suffering the lag, because all his moves were slick, and he had a 750+ ranking. Seems sad wen ppl play and win because they know their bad connection means they win everytime.

had my 1st 2 two desent games today (4-11-09) online not bad since i only got it on the release date.was the first time my oppo's light didnt turn red as soon as we started the game.was very good if only it was like that all the time??

I have been getting the button lag at least 8 out of 10 times. Sometimes 1sec and sometimes 5sec. Right load a bollox. Konami tossers.

its certainly not just you mate, about 75% of games I would say have been acceptable, the rest a bit hit and miss, about 5 games I have played were unplayable but only apparantly to me, my opponent quite happily scoring goals whilst I cant pass or even change players.

Was the server down last night? I couldnt get in, error re site maintenance? maybe they are doing something about it?

Worst problem is lights changing from green in the lobby room to red in the game. If it wasnt for that we could avoid those with a crap connection.

Yea same here. I got it with one opponent in particular.
I'm guessing he had a poor connection.

button lag pisses me off seriously. I'm trying to play with green light only but sometimes green light changes to red as soon as the game starts..

I specifically brought a XBox 360 to play pro evo online, after 7-8 years of being an avid fan of the PS2 version I got bored of playing the master league etc... I didn’t know much about lag online until I brought an XBox last month and played PES10.

In total I must have played about 30-40 matches online and 90% of the matches were button delay & lagging.. Sometimes the lagging was that bad the games I played against my opponents were unplayable. I didn’t buy PES 2010 for the master league, I purchased it specifically for online play only and for that purpose it does not do its job.

I put my copy on e bay last week and got £25 for it and brought fifa 09 for £4 which I have played online about 30 times, my winning percentage is not great (W5 L19 !!) but the game plays lag free which for a casual player like myself is I want, a football game that I can play online

Im not a PES/FIFA fan boy. just a guy that wants to experience the fun of third generation online play and sadly pes2010 doesn’t do its job. It would be the same issue for me if Forza online was wack (which it isn’t), I would just buy another car game like Grand Turismo or need for Speed.

Konami can count themselves very fortunate that they have a massive fan base and that there only football competitor is EA so its only ever going to be a two horse race

Its about time Konami raised their game and get this issue sorted out. I think a good percentage of pro evo players would rather have a virtually lag free version next year than updated graphics etc that

I for one won’t be rushing to purchase PES 2011, I’ll take heed and rent it first before giving them my had earned cash

Right this is bugging me aswel 1 in 2 games will be lagging by a 2 to 4 second delay. When i goto play QUICK match the oponents connection is normally green so is mine. You goto the next page where you choose your team..ect. And BOTH of ours will always go to yellow or if theres is on red then expect lagging in the game, often theres has been yellow but in the game it goes to red. Mine is never ever on red

I have 10mb broadband with virgin and ive read on a google search its down to virgin but thats utter utter rubbish. These people making crap up like this need to be shot.

My rating was 556 now its 430... why? because i lose every lagging game. THEY NEED TO SORT THE SERVERS OUT BEFORE I SMASH MY PLASMA.

thank you i will now go back to my anger management course.

My ratings gone 'south' as well, I dont mind getting beat by good players, its the dross that beat you 1 nil even though they cant string a pass together and win because the lag doesnt affect them. They then believe they are brilliant at the game and send you a message to say how sh*t u r.

BAH when they message you after they will after a lagging game that just puts the icing on the cake.
