buying players?

hi what does the number mean next to a player when you are flicking through some players i.e villa 1782 P 1 what does the 1 mean at the last bit?

oh rite well david silva of valencia his is at 1 so does tht mean i wont really have a good chance of getting him?

That's right. However, if you try to trade him for an equally good player (i.e. a player with an equal or higher popularity rating than Silva) then your chance increases slightly.

You can cheat though.

You can make an offer, save the game, go to next week, and if they haven't accepted the offer, you can go back to the main menu, reload where you last saved, then keep trying until they accept. Sometimes it's impossible to sign a player, so I usually attempt it 5 times then leave it.

Possibly. I think Hargreaves can play on the wing in the game. Also, Hargreaves probably has a high popularity rating, so that would help.

I have tried to sign Iniesta every week of of every transfer period and i still haven't signed him, but, on the final week of negotiations, everytime, it says put on hold, then when negotiations resume, they fail. It's so annoying

Same thing happened to me with Benzema. I've tried to buy him in 3 different transfer windows but its always put on hold and he never comes. I put all sorts of offers on the table but still nothing.

Im very dissapointed in my season.I finished my fist season and i bought two players and i lost 5 or 6 players.So i think my season is finished,but i still going to try to play my season i only got 1 keeper and 5 subs.I got d1 cup my league and champions league i dont know how il do this

See if i was you i would buy Villa man hes amazing he is my best player in my team.He can dribble he can score and he can set up goals.And he develops aswell so you should buy him

Well im not sure.Silva is amazing and he develops alot.But quaresma doesnt alot but quaresma is alot faster then silva and better dribbler

I have Agbonlahor as my LM, it isn't his natural position but he can play as a SMF, he is fast, has good dribble accuracy, strong and can cross the ball

I've got the Xbox360 version and I can say I haven't noticed a world ranking for teams. All I've discovered so far is that if your team has a popularity of 'S', then it gets easier to buy good players. If you are a 'S' rated team and have won both D1 League and the Champions League, then it's easier to buy the best players.

I was a 'S' rated team, I won the D1 League, but only reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, but I still managed to get Sergio Ramos, Pirlo and Adriano. What I done was buy good players that weren't in teams - I think it's the 'Others' group of players - then used them to trade for better players. For example, I signed Freidrich from Germany (I don't remember his default name) during the first season, then after the third season, he developed into a very good player, so Real Madrid didn't mind trading Ramos for him.
