Taken from COD4 forums.

Wow, I didn't think the MW2 'Stimulus Package' could have anything else going against it upon release. It was over-priced, and included two old maps from COD4. Things couldn't get any worse, right?

Unfortunately it did get worse. Along with the huge price tag, and re-used COD4 maps, the pack of maps were extremely buggy.

Not only were you paying $15 for three new maps, but they had extreme texture issues and people reported rampant freezing.

Many experts are crying foul because the problems could have easily been solved. Unfortunately, the map pack didn't receive a beta test so the problems were bound to pop up.

This latest DLC fiasco is but a blip in the long line of downloadable content blunders. What is it that developers believe DLC is for?

At least the 'Sitmulus Package' isn't something already included on the disc. Many developers will put content on the retail disc, and then charge gamers later to unlock the content.

Devs and publishers really need to get their act together regarding DLC. There are a few games which have gotten it right. Next time IW/Activision, test your DLC before getting consumers to drop $15 on it

I've had no problems with the new maps tbh.

I know they released the DLC around lunchtime, but didn't patch the game until dinnertime, but I was at work so it didn't affect me.

Bailout is a lovely map. So may different parts of the map for groups of people to fight it out.

Starting to enjoy Salvage (other than when is TDM) and Storm I first found to big a map, with too many little passages, but now love it.

Crash is probably more enjoyable than in CoD4 and Overgrown is still a classic.

Tbh, £10 isn't a great deal, considering that'd buy me a couple of drinks on a night out, but this will last me much longer and won't have me throwing up the following day...

How will the match making system work out the matches with people with the new maps and those who do not? Will those who do not have be kicked out?

Hopefully it'll work in a similar way as CoD4 did. It would warn you when someone in your party didn't have the map-pack, so you'd know someone could get booted. If you don't have the pack downloaded, it wouldn't put you in rooms that use the new maps.

CoD5 was useless, and would often try to put you into a map that you didn't have. Everyone would skip, only to be put to another new map and then 3/4 of the room would leave. It was a joke.

Anyone tried the One Man Army perk? I've just got Pro and it looks as if it's a great setup for Nuke hunting...

It took me a while to get used to the One Army Perk. But it is pretty decent.

Important news for COD fans.

COD4Forums Members,

The exodus of Infinity Ward continues. Jon Shiring, a programmer for IW for many years has officially left the company.

Shiring told IGN, "I'm not trying to create spectacle, I just wanted to avoid the LinkedIn nonsense," he told IGN. "No announcements other than that one." Shiring spent close to six years at Infinity Ward, working on both Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2. "

Along with the announcement, Senior Animator Bruce Ferriz has left. And lead designer Mackey McCandlish has also left Infinity Ward. All of these announcements have occurred after a month ago IW co-founders Todd Alderman and Francesco Gigliotti were fired by Activision.

Along with the the quittings, the co-founders have recently signed with EA. They'll be running their own brand, and a project already looms in the distance.

All of this news certainly doesn't bode well for the COD franchise. With so many uncertainties with IW, the speculation now begins. How much longer before another IW Call of Duty game releases? If we ever even see one again.

requiem that'd tend to be better here: http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=76055 as MW3 is slated (confirmed bar legal delays due to the courtcases) for 2011 and will be made by an Infinity Ward without at last count, five staff members who will all defect to EA and join the new Respawn Entertainment, started by two of the five. Not sure what Respawn are going to do seeing as how EA have teams for MOA and BF2.

started using the famas since i presitged again and its actually quite a good weapon. as lost as its not close quarter combat the famas usually win and 3 shots is all it takes. also using the noob tuber with it (1st time ive actually used it properly after i've unlcoked the shotgun attachment) its quite fun getting them cheap kills.

Nube Tubes don't always have to be cheap. It takes a little skill to get kills from far way. Like highrise and the lifts. The satisfaction of getting a kill when you can't see the the lift opening is great. or taking snipers on the hill in Afghan.

You also get a lot of multikills such as in the bunkers in wasteland.

Not all the time, but if I'm purposely Nuke hunting then yes, ACR w/ n00btube and OMA.

The game's unrealistic as it is, but I'd believe grenade launchers before I do snipers that don't look down scopes and people who drop onto their gut when in a 1on1 situation.

I don't do that lol; I only really 'quick scope' and 'no-scope' when playing it with a mate in a Private match.

I don't see why it makes you think I'm a cunt
