Don't you think they should add a classic Spain now that they've won the world cup + the fact there's a fair amount of unlockable classic Spain players in PES 2011?

Here's the current players you can unlock:

GK
Canizares
Zubizarreta

DEF
Hierro
Nadal
Helguerra
Sergi

MID
Guardiola
Mendieta
Luis Enrique
Txiki Begiristain
Bakero

ATT
Di Stefano
Butragueno
Exteberria
Kiko

They could complete the squad with some of the folowing players:

GK
Paco Buyo

DEF
Manolo Sanchis
Camacho

MID
Luis Suarez (only Spanish player to ever win the Ballon d'Or
Gento
Pirri
Fran
Donato

ATT
Cesar Rodriguez
Santillana
Urzaiz

Until they are given real faces I doubt anyone uses the classic teams!

I think theres some sort of licensing issue with them though.

No chance there going to be in it, there not classic as such they won the most recent world cup and all their players are still playing and to be honest they where a fairly average national side until about 12 years ago so i cant see them being included for a long time... Next step should be classic clubs...

I don't agree. Sure they've had some fantastic players in their existance, but they've only came to success in the past 2 years. Their current team would beat their classic team, thats why their players are in the store.

I agree with Rainey. They haven't had enough success to be considered "classic", but you could argue that England haven't either.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't there a European Classic and World Classic team in the old Pro Evo games (perhaps Iss Pro Evo 2)? Would be nice to bring back those again, I know they have most of the players as unlockables, but it's not the same.

You're right, in terms of success Uruguay schould have one but oddly they don't, and to be honest there's definitely a case for Spain to have one due to recently Konami have opted to go for more recent players which is strange. The likes of Cryuff are even on the bench. Madness!

However, I still say Spain don't deserve one at this stage.

Yeah, there used to be all star teams which was fantastic, I miss it so much.

I think many of you are missing the point. The team doesn't really have to have been a powerhouse in the past in order to be there. And considering Konami have players from different generations, its not supposed to represent a team like Brazil 1970 for example. All the classic teams are is a collection of great players from the past.

My point is, now would be a nice time to add Spain because there's almost an entire squad of players and there's the hype of them winning tournaments.

Anyway, the classic clubs idea is one I've wanted for years. Really hope they expand the whole classic players/teams part of the game.

Who cares how much success they had, it would be fun to use the likes of Guardiola, Mendieta, Di Stefano, and Hierro on the same team. They would make a beast of a classic team in like Pes 2022 or something though lol when the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Villa, Torres, Casillas, and Raul are long retired.

Well by the looks of things the one requiremnet is that you had to have won a world cup or european championship or at least make a final, which spain have only just achieved. Yes it is a collection of players but they havent earned the right to be put in as a team, otherwise every nation would be calling for it, they dont deserve one yet but ont he merits of the last 5-6 years they will have one in the future.

I like the idea of havin more classic teams be they clubs or countries tho only if they are incorporated in a mode where you could relive scenarios from past games! E.g. 1999 CL final play last 10 mins as Man Utd 1-0 down and for every scenario you pass you move on and unlock the team you play with! Its just my opinion but i think it would be fun to play!

:erm: Spain 1964 European champions. The more classic teams the better, who cares what they achieved. It's not like we're asking for a classic USA or something lol no offense to all you Americans. Hungary definitely needs a classic team as well. I dunno how you can leave the magnificent magyars out of the game for so fuckin long.

With Uruguay, though they have had a lot of success in the past, they don't really have 20 odd standout players that they could put in. Francescoli, Montero, Recoba are the only ones I can think of at the top of my head.
Oh, I never actually thanked you for the great job with the OF. So thanks :D

I think classic club teams is a good idea, but what teams would you put in? I for one couldn't care less about having a classic Man U team, classic Liverpool team etc. Fans would get annoyed if their team didn't have a classic version, despite having a good history.

I agree with alx-9 @ post #11. There is no need to have a specific team in order to create a classic squad.

As for Spain, undeniebly great players like Zubizaretta, Hierro, Mendieta, Bakero, Luis Enrique, Butragueno and Salinas fairly desevre to be classics. I don't even mention active players like Raul, David Villa, Puyol, Xavi and Casillas, who are all living legends.

However, the problem of licence is a great asset at the moment. I've just unlocked Argentina and got disappointed because none of the player names were familiar to me, alongside with the faces. I think there is no need for classic players if they are unrealistic like this.

Ahh but thats my point, people will start asking for more teams to be put in it, im sure americans could point to there 23 best players from before and say why not put them in, theyll probably be shit in the end but the ameircans would love it. Its funny though people are only asking for a "classic" spain team becuase of their recent success..... England, Italy, France, Germany, Argentina, Holland and Brazil all have stand out teams and players, i think the spain one is fairly limited, yes you could have 23 players but they would not be on par with hollands or brazil's, their best crop of players is now, that cant be said for the other nations...

Who cares what everyone asks for lol they can be easily ignored if the request is ridiculous. Unlike team USA, Spain actually has a solid case here as they are the 1964 Euro champs. I've actually been wanting to use a classic Spain for years. Completely disagree about their players as well. Hierro, Guardiola, Di Stefano, and Butragueno can give the best of the classic teams a run for their money if you've ever looked at their stats in Pes 2010. The rest are all solid players as well like Mendieta, Nadal, Helguerra, and Luis Enrique.
