have to admit that im concerned by the results of the survey given in the thread by adds102 or that, where most people want real names and licences over gameplay, the very thing that makes the game what it is. have we got lost from the days when we were prepared to play in a blue, red or yellow t- shirt in iss, and still awe at the wonderful gameplay and feel of the game, even 4 back then?? I am truely sadened

I think people assume that the gameplay will remain at the sublime level it is now but want the licences etc as well. It would be nice to have both though eh? I can't play 'normal' WE/PES these days after being spoilt with a fully patched PES4.

nicely said mumpleaser. i was playing WE3 Final Version fine. Then went up to the next version and on. When I finally hit WE6FE I realize about this patching deal and got hyped. From then on I couldn't play WE normally knowing that I can fix all this fake stuff with real ones. So I am really picky now to whether the team has on the correct kit or the player wearing the correct boots.

*sigh, look what patching done to me. :D

Yep, like Uchiha Itachi, I also have to agree Mumpleaser. Although we do love the gameplay, I just think that the licenses, music, and all the other stuff just makes it feel that more realistic. I also like the fact with me editing my own stuff, makes it very unique and personal to me. I agree with what you said that the gameplay is the major part of the game, and we again wanted it even more improved in the next series.

GAMEPLAY is the important to this game as the air we breath.

SAD that i think the game should continue improving the gameplay witch is already great and go always a step nearer to reality perfectness ANDDDDD improve other aspects of the game.

I do think it can be done , improving other things doesnt mean we will loose gameplay.

The licenses and so on are the only thing that Fifa has over PES so if PES got that,they'd have nothing over us and therefore PES would rule supreme ;) lol but in all honesty i love the gameplay,it DOES make the game something else.I'm sure as more games are released the gameplay aswell as the license will be improved upon so i'm not really gonna be worrying!

OR at least that what seems Konami is doing every year, improving everything, sometimes I really suspect that these great companies KONAMI , EA SPORTS do have agreements cause if Konami wants to they could bury FIFA GAMES .

It just pisses me off from time to time when Fifa fans say that. I have a mate at college and hes 17,Im always saying along with another m8 (Pro Evo fan) that PES is simply the best football game out there,This 17 year old mate comes out with..

"Fifa has the proper strips and names"

I literally laugh in his face seriously,He believes cause fifa have that that the games better than PES.So when PES do eventually get full licenses i'll rub it in his face.Fifa will be done for when it does happen!

I was bored in a shopping centre waiting for my wife to buy some clothes so I went into Game and they had Fifa2006 (or is it 2005?) on the PS2. I hesitated before I picked up the controller and started playing......what a mistake. It is unbelievably bad. Everything that can be wrong is. Airy gameplay, no joy in passing or shooting for that matter, pure, unadulterated shit. I stopped playing after about 2 minutes.

I then went and told the bloke working there that he should take a long hard think about himself and the image Game wants to project and seriuosly think about putting PES4 on instead.

He didn't listen.........

However, you did attempt to make amends by informing the bloke about PES, so you're okay, I guess. :)

There is absolutely no contest between FIFA and PES nor can a comparison be drawn between them. So what if FIFA have all the licenses and Motson commentating, that's not what makes the game good. In fact, if the gameplay's shit, which as we all know it is on FIFA, then it doesn't compensate for anything. Why we all love PES is because it's truly amazing in the gameplay, realism and overall representation of the sport. When you pull off a defence splitter of a pass it just feels so good to see your front man run onto it. Not like in FIFA where it feels automatic and that you didn't do it. Furthermore, the flow of the game is so erratic, PES flows beautifully like watching a real match. The gameplay, as rightly said, is important to the game as the air we breathe. It'd still be an amazing game if every team had a pink strip, that wouldn't affect the gameplay a bit!

In a nutshell, PES is the closest to footballing perfection on a console we'll ever witness. Light years ahead of FIFA and EA. FIFA fans can brag all they want about their licenses and official sponsors - it'll just never touch Pro Evolution... Konami are geniuses.

Disagree with you there. It's ok to try it every now and then. At least we can't be accused of being fan-boys like all the EA-girls.........

When PES3 came out, I copied my updated option file onto the one in the shop so all the names and kits looked as good as they could do in edit mode. Looked much nicer :)

I bet loads of 8 year old's were devasted after looking at the game in the shop and thinking all those kits were actually in the game - they probably wasted a years pocket money buying it too :)

Im sure that if a survey was done they woud find out.....

Fifa Fans are gamers of 16 yrs and younger witch LIKE soccer and are more kean to own a nice and famous soccer game with nice strips and all ANDDDD they have never tried Pro Evolution Soccer or tried it and found it hard to play after playing an easy game like FIFA....... There problem is they never did play PES enough to realise the superiority of gameplay.

Pes Fans are more mature gamers that understand and appreciate the gameplay of this great game, They Love Soccer and they have already played FIFA and can tell the differences between the 2 games.

In fact how many of you know of fifa fans that today turned to be great PES fans ( like me) ? Im sure there are many and many ......... and how much people have being playing PES and than turn on FIFA ? very few im sure.....

This says it all .......Konami play with EA just like a cat plays with a mouse before eating it ( or they have pacts) .
