Cut-back goals....discuss

Should the quality players be able to score than the crap player does though? Thus making any cut-back goals consolations?

I think this post needs an edit. Are u missing the word - More?

If u mean should they b able to score more - then no.

People are just saying - the poor style of play gets more rewards. In real life you dont see too many cut back goals, this is because, defenders dont let you walk round them and into the box. Nor does the goalkeeper dive before a shot is taken.

In PES, the cutback goal is not down to poor human control of a player, it is the fact it is too easy, and whatever formation u play it is nie on impossible to get players in the right positions. As you can only control one player at a time, if you fail to stop the man from getting past you, or only put him off a bit, as soon as the ball is passed into the box there is an attacker standing unmarked.

From my point of view, this is a bad way to play - its just no fun. Its ok to score he odd cutback goal, but for some ppl, its all they look to do, making the game very one dimensional and thusly boring. Some ppl call it skill, but it is just a routine that you learn and then use over and over and over and over and over and over...

Now I'm starting to get a bit annoyed...

yesterday night I was beaten 3 times in a row...
Once I was using Fiorentina beaten by Barcelona twice... then Villareal beaten by Inter ...

and they were all using cut backs to beat me...
I mean ... bloody hell... if you're using barca playing against fiorentia you should be able to shred me to pieces... without resorting to cut backs...
This inter guy is the worse... He just pass the ball to adriano and he just start spraying shots from outside the penalty area... and worse he manage to score from a cut back as well...

I agree 7ames, the cut back goal is one dimensional and tedious BUT a chimp could learn the cut back goal.
It is fair enough to score the odd cut back goal or even concede one or two but your average cut back player can be predicted and therefore gives you the upper hand in knowing what he is going to do next.

Well to be honest, i am very good at cutting out this kind of goal. I only comment on this section because it is clearly annoying others and the one dimensional aspect of it is really annoying. I played with spain a few days ago, in 6 matches. ALL the games were against Brazil and all the ppl tried the cutback goal. I won all six and kept six clean sheets. I also needed my camera alot as i scored at least one special goal in every game. I spose it only annoys me when im on a good streak or im just playing well and having good games, then a stupid cutback mperson tries the cutback 100 times in a game and i let 2 past me and lose or draw. Its just a poor way to play.

sure i still win but the point is it gets so boring and they wouldnt do it all time if didnt work so well,i dont mind people doing it but its the fact that that is their plan of attack every time they get ball every game get the ball run run run cut back shoot get the ball again run run run cut back shoot and a hit and hope shot aswell mite i add what the point of playing a simulation if you'r gonna play like that i only play my mate who does that if i got know 1 else to play

whats worse about it is that you dont even need skill to doit you just press x and shoot and point towards the goal and its usualy on target yet if you are a good player and you shoot from close range even open goal sometimes the shot goes miles over the bar even if you give it the slightest touches

I do agree that cut-backs get annoying...very quickly, and that is why I try to avoid playing new people. I usually can find 10-15 friends (people I have played previously) that are usually online, who I know enjoy playing a more tactical, sophisticated game. Some of these players are far superior to my skills and can beat me regularly, I will admit, but they beat me because they are better tacticians, they build-up their attacks extremely well, they score gorgeous goals, they know the nuances of the games and their teams. These are the games and players I enjoy playing, win or loose. I don't care if I loose all my games really...I enjoy matching skills and wits agains some great players.

If you hate playing people who are just looking for an easy Win regardless of how cheap, then try to find quality oppenents, and populate yoru friends list

These goals are for amatuers!!!!

its cos they cant knock the ball about and score from 20 yard... let them do it..........

easy way to defend it is to use super cancel to drop off (stand off) and give them a decision to make (while calling for second defender).

bless the amatuers

i agree with you but surly if you let all the way to the by-line you need to;
a)choose a better tactic to prevent this.
or
b) work on your defending.

im sure its not b) you need so try a) i did that before and now when i play they try it ast first and eventually find out it aint going to work :)

the only way you can reduce cut back goals is to rather than have a lb or rb have a cwp. these guys stay back longer and allow you to tackle the player before they can execute this dirty little trick.

worked for me

yeah but there should be ways to make the ai more responsive based upon player position, ability and difficulty. from Beginner to Top Player I ahve always been able to score 2 or 3 cut-back goals and win by a goal. In real life a team like barca or real or even Man Utd wouldn't allow this to happen more than once. Note the words Real Life. It's just a game move on

set your RB and LB players to strong defence and postion them just behind your CB(s) this should make it harder for them to excute this tricky to defend against move :) lol

cut backs are 4players who cant play evo, its great 2c a great 30yarder or a volly/header, instead of cutbacks, an odd 1 is fine, but wen u play sum1 who does it alllllll the time, they are a bad pes player FACT!!!!!

great way to score a injury time goal!
theres way to defend against it, so its legit

That comment is disgusting.

The cut-back goal is known worldwide for being "gay", that is the correct name for it in many parts, 'A Gay Goal'. There is ways to defend it, but it's still a cheap goal, mainly due to the defenders seemingly going walkies whenever some cheap crap player attempts this sly trick. The goalkeepers always seem to leap out of the way leaving a wide-open goal for the more than likely Adriano to tap it in. In my view, it's cheating to be fair and in the League I play in (PELLUK) it is frowned upon more than rape.

I prefer to play with Paris Saint German since they're my team in the League, and I need to find their best formation and adapt to them. Plus they're not a "slag team" as it's called, they're an average side with a few nice gems. I sometimes just click Random as well, as it makes it far more enjoyable when you find shit teams who surprisingly play well and score the odd cracking goal. Whereas constantly playing with someone like Inter, Brazil, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid etc, I find horribly cheap.

I'd rather punch myself in the face than score a cut-back goal, thank you.

In my part of the world the goal is known as "The Cheeky cu(n)t back"

I avoid doing it against mates and online but if some bell end does it to me I will do it back, revenge is sweet. Also on top player in an important game if I am frustrated I will whip out the cut back. I know it is wrong but at times I have to fall foul of it. I think I need to go to a support group.

cut backs are for slags that can't play real football!! theres nothing better than rippin a defence apart with 1-2s an great teamwork or seeing a header or volley fly in!!

any muppet can run down the wing with robben, ronaldinho, messi, robinho, kaka, adriano, etc but its just too easy and is exploited by the t*****s in ranked mode whose rank is everything. You can always spot them a mile off too as they'll play 424 or 433, they go all out defend then when they get the ball switch to all out attack and go straight for the flanks!

Anyone who wants to play good football go to www.pelluk.co.uk and join a great community which is all about good football.
