the hoarding, i don't really mind, but it's annoying every time the advert pops up

If you have a PS3 go to Game Data Utility, it'll be marked as PES2011 Downloaded data. Select and delete. Advert gone.

Cheers, I deleted it yesterday looking through the same folder trying to free up space. Haven't played it, yet, I have a feeling it'll be downloaded again by Konami.
