Whilst I don't agree with the constant moaning, MatTheCat does actually have a point.

When I complained about the dragback issue a few weeks ago, it was dismissed because "it happens in real life, so it should be in PES". My problem with that was it was always way too easy in PES to pull off. It gave online cheaters such an advantage, as if playing as the main teams wasn't one already.

Some sort of dragback should exist, but not to the ease it's been up until now. Ok, they say keepers cover their box better and the AI are so much better than before, but we had all of this in 2008, not to mention this Team Vision thing.

Again, it's nothing major to moan about BEFORE playing the game, and calling them "DUMB-ASSED JAPS!" is pretty childish. You'll buy the game, don't worry about it.

It was an interview not some gameplay movie with comments. No one can judge on 3 sentences. I hope that no one will complain anymore. I'm really tired of seeing complaints about a game. If you don't like it simply don't play it. But no one can complain about pes 2009 as it isn't even out yet.

From my personal experience, the cut back never happens when playing against the computer and is an unwritten rule between mates that it isn't used then.

So I have a suggestion for you guys.

How about stop fucking moaning about the cut back (as realistic as it is anyway) and get yourself some friends to play the game with or just play against the computer rather than online all the time, then you won't have that problem.

In truth this is what happend.

Fifa stole the PES gameplay formula.

PES noticed this, and replyed by buying the champions leage license.

So PES is going FIFA and FIFA is going PES.

That's one way to look at it............

Here we go.

Jesus christ man, the game isn't even out yet, and you are already throwing your toys out the pram. I thought it would be after PES2009's release that i'd see you again - obviously that's not the case.

The Drag-Back is an issue, because everyone can do it with ease -and- that's what makes it so unrealistic. The proper way to do it would be by introducing New Dribbling Stats to determine all the different Dribbling moves; Step-Overs, Roulettes, Cutting the Ball, Drag-Backs, Shielding, etc, etc..

This way, we don't get to see Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi performing Roulettes -and- other Dribbling moves they never do in real-life.

And also, Konami should really get the BASICS straighten out.. for example it is a FACT that the Drag-Back move is easier to do in the Midfield, because there's plenty of space available in the middle of the pitch -but- the annoying thing in PES, is that you can easily fool a Defender by simply performing a Drag-Back in the Penalty Area (at least in PES6).

I would really appreciate it if we could see that difference in Space and Time. In the Midfield there's more Space available, and consequently also more Time. On the other hand, in the Penalty Box there's not enough Space (nor Time) to do Drag-Backs or Roulettes.

So I think rather than just eliminating the Drag-Back Dribble -Konami- should introduce even more Dribbling Moves (divide the Dribbling Accuracy Stat into more specific/accurate Dribbling Stats), and they should establish a clear difference between play in the Midfield and play in the Goal Area.
