December 20/12 Patch Details !

Patch 1.03 improvements include: the overall balance of the game, aesthetics, and movement of players. New goal celebrations also added.

Classic online 2v2 makes its glorious return.

Jon Murphy: “we still have a number of elements that we, and they [the fans], feel need attention. We’ll let you know more very soon…”

Small issues regarding MLO and other online modes also fixed. Jon Murphy very confident stating 2013 is the “finest PES of the generation”.

JM also thanks “vital” fans for their “dedication and enthusiasm”. Feedback has been a huge part of the series this year.

I expect that the problem with trough balls is gone after this patch, I wonder what will the spammers then do after this since they only have one way of passing the ball.

My guess is that they will lose.

lol... I agree with him tbh - however he does sound like he likes a drink just from his name For this generation of consoles I do think it's the best PES. Just not as good as pro evo's from PS1/PS2/N64 - especially when comparing to how much other gams have come on.

Online gaming has changed the way we game though and makes flaws in games become massively apparent - pro evo 5 managed to not undergo this micro-scrutiny

I doubt that they are ever going to fix the long balls or nerf some of the speed merchants....
instead JM mentioned something about smoother cursor switching and better player movements....

better player movements :-s might make passing even more easier(and the spamming too ).

We can only wait and see, but if it's fixed it will be like a whole new game for me...

So yeah, all I can say is that I hope I'll be getting just what I want from Konami for xmas! I've been a good'n after all :innocent:

I have been playing on zero pass support since many days and I can conclude that at least 50 percent of the negative/exploit elements from the game are already gone.

I saw the 'player movements' mentioned in the patch notes when I logged on last night. This could be defenders movement changed to make them more able to deal with long balls and through balls?

Obviously it might not be, but as they were doing surveys to see what we wanted changing then you would think that they would address the problems we have.

Well offline at least the AI is still cheating like a bitch especially in the later rounds of UCL

ffs why could they not of left this "scripting" (more like cheating..) the same as last year or prefferably less evident, and made tackling easier not yellows for slightly missjudging a challenge and yellows for a sliding tackle where you take the whole ball...really pisses me off

I downloaded the patch . Couldn't play online because of the ongoing server maintenance but I think passing has been made smoother/easier(I play on zero pass support and I think passing has definitely been made smoother).

Ronaldo has been nerfed to certain extent (could be his new boots)

Headers are still the same and the old technique works.

Players looks,overall ratings and individual stats are still the same.(maybe Ronaldos stamina increases from 77 to 78 I don't remember his default stamina precisely ,but again it could be his new boots)

Difficult to judge changes in through balls on zero pass support while playing offline.Ill have to get online to know if they've been nerfed upto certain extent.

Again can't say about players like Van der mirch if they have been nerfed or not.(since i can't get online)

In the players stats display,terms 'Attack' and 'Def' have been changed to 'Attck awareness' and 'Def awareness'.

Konami claimed keepers with overall rating above '70' will be improved but there are no changes as such ,you can still easily go round a great keeper.

All in all not many changes in the 12 mb patch apart from smoother passing (or it could be better player movements to receive a pass)

Any ide how big is this Data Pack? I have only 1 Mbps connection and my download is crawling like a turtle with sore thumb.

I do hope they updated player stats as well. I mean, come on, El Shaarawy the current Serie A capocannonieri only got 78 overall? Now it should be 90++ at least.

Patch Update - Dec 20th...

I play on Professional level. Since the update, the game seems much more fluid, your team mates strive to support you even if you go through one on one.

Great, great, great. But I may have to up my difficulty level as my first four games have resulted in me scoring 4 goals per game.

The patch is 12 mbs but the New Data pack should be around 120 mbs in size.it has news boots and new celebrations.I was getting a constant 130 kb/ps speed but it took around 15 minutes to download.
