Better...
I downloaded the demo (via the NZ Playstation Store), and it plays pretty well. I've played two matches, and the CPU committed a foul (near the half-way line) in the second game.
The default speed feels 'just right' (but '-1' is okay as well).
The CPU scored against me in the second match, and I thought: "Crap, here we go again..."; no problem though, the ball rebounded off the post (so it wasn't a straight shot to the bottom corner). I'm glad that I took the time to watch the replay as it seemed like a typical 'PES 2016' bullsh!t goal at first glance.
The graphics aren't exactly 'mind-blowing' but the player-touches are great, and if the final release is like this, I'll definitely purchase it.
The goalkeepers seem a hell of a lot better than how they were in last year's lacklustre iteration of the PES series. Hopefully Konami have enough 'MyClub' lemmings (no offence) now, so they won't see a need to f#ck up the offline component of the game this year.
The overall game seems slower-paced this year, and that's how I prefer it.
After only two matches, there seems to be hope for Konami yet...
