The Low Down...

Aaaaggghhhh... the CPU still likes to score those low shots to either bottom corner of the net.

I played three half-matches today where I just let the CPU score: Out of about 12 goals, only one was different, and that was a header from a corner. So it looks like they haven't bothered to add proper goal variety from the CPU teams.

That in itself isn't a 'deal breaker' but never-the-less, that's pretty disappointing. The CPU shoots with good variety but actual goals seem to be a result of low shots to the corner again.

I'm still enjoying the actual gameplay, at least the goalkeepers are actually saving shots this year; the referees aren't allowing it to be a foul-fest from the CPU teams.

As a side note, thankfully the CPU's players remained fully clothed after scoring!

Played 3 matches. Finished 0-0, 0-0 and 2-0. The CPU offers little to no attacking threat (I'm playing on the highest difficulty). Passes still feel too on rails at level 1 assistance. Players still wait to receive the ball, and opposition goalkeepers still kick it short every chance they get. Just feels like a weightier version of PES 2016.

The main gripe I have is that they've changed the fucking colours. So now a down form arrow is red, and an up one is blue. All the attribute colours have changed too, so now it's not as easy to pick out the strongest attributes.

What about that thing when the players hit another player, behave like they were tasered and won't move, and all of a sudden you regain control over them? (This isn't the best way to explain it...)

What the actual fuck?

Didn't notice any of that, but players did seem to be knocked off the ball a bit easily.

Yup, will take a screenshot next time I'm on, but from what I remember:

60 and below = red
70 - 80 = yellow
80 - 90 = green
90+ = blue

why change formation is locked?

Because Konami.

Has happened to me a few times, the player gets locked in an animation and you cant move him or switch to another player.

Played a few matches and:

The good:
- clearley better than last year (last year was bad)
- Better animations, players move more realistic, many new ones, players won`t break animations or slide over the pitch so often anymore
- AI doesn`t seem to cheat
- better goalies
- more statistics
- Players react like they should
- graphics are even better
- CPU fouled me a few times
- advanced pass works fine again
- they even removed the need to press start two times to skip a replay that some player complained about (because that was really hard)

the bad:
- 3 year and still no new moves on the pitch and old ones are missing
- pass assistance to strong on level 1
- replays are a bit to fast
- easy goals? Scored 4 headers in one match.
- can`t seem to miss the goal, using advanced shoting nearly every shot is on goal( I miss shots that go way over the goal)
- some moves still a bit to fast

So far nearly a must buy, because 2016 was bad and this seems good. Still would love to see that they add some new ideas and moves.

It seems my laptop doesn't want us to see that thing I mentioned. Was midgame when it shut down all by itself, probably due to the heat. 15 minutes later I managed to turn it on again and it was hovering 85ºC. Doesn't help that it's 11pm and the temperature outside is above 28ºC (inside the house well above that, surely).

Video will be up tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Here are the new colours:

In a way it makes sense (red is bad, like in the stop lights), but changing it after all this years... oh well, could be worse.

I suppose Body Control is like FIFA's Balance, and Physical Contact is Strength? Also, do the faces look as blurry ingame as they do in those screenshots?

Just one more thing: could you post Ozil's stats?

Body Control replaces Body Balance from the looks of things, and Physical Contact seems to replace Stamina, so I'm not sure where Stamina is, it may have moved onto the next page, but I'm sure they were just GK stats as in 2016. Would be a bit odd not to have a stamina attribute.

Will check again tomorrow, and post Ozil attributes, unless feels the need to do it before me.

No any serious changes or improvements, my opinion. Looks like a bit reworked version of PES2016 or FIFA 2-3 years ago.

Hell of scripting on top level, unrealistic ball control, etc.
And yes, Konami has add vibro as a part of "physical contact", but contact between 2 players still looks like a battle of clowns. What a joke.

Pre-order price is 50 bucks, really?

F*ck this crap, I'm going FIFA17. Can't see any reason to buy the same Konami-shit every year.
