Been playing a couple games today, for some reason at least one of the centre backs is going forward, to the point of playing upfront and staying there and not returning to his original position. Anyone else finding this?

Also they need to make the tactics thing in the corner a bit more visible and make it easier to figure out wtf it's actually doing..

This happens when you select all out attack by double tapping the D-Pad up button repeatedly. It's an excellent part of the game, designed for use when you really need a goal.

I deleted the demo the other way. Tried to force myself to like it, but couldn't. I just didn't find it fun in the slightest.

I don't think I'll bother with it.

Sup Ali?

I am in the US and grabbed the demo on PS4 last weekend. I played a few games but did not find it captivating either. All always, they have spent a lot of time on the graphical content of the game. Sharp, colourful and just beautiful to look at.

However the gameplay for me was mediocre. I have heard it described as the "best passing game", but I think the game now borders on ping pong passing.....and wayyyyy to accurate. Shooting is also overpowered.

But i also see where the collision system is horrific. Tackles are hit and miss and the movement of the players.......what is up with that?

I thought Konami had a 360 player movement at one point. This is only a 16 directional game. So I find it hard to turn away from tackles or maneuver small turns to protect the ball. This gives the game a very deep arcade feel ...IMO.

The game is definitely playable ....but will take sometime to adjust to the quick sharp turns, quick powerful shots, extremely accurate passes from far distances and the restrictive player 16 directional movement.

peace

I hope Konami don't repeat what EA did last year.

I really enjoyed the initial release of FIFA 16, it played fairly realistically (as far as a video game is concerned), nothing like FIFA's usual 'arcade' nature. People complained about the game being 'boring' and 'slow', so EA 'patched' it until it was more like FIFA 15 2.0! Then I traded it...

Anyway, I'm really enjoying the PES 2017 demo, I like slow build-up play. I hated PES 2016, it was more like an arcade game: The goalkeepers were abysmal, it was too easy to score; the CPU teams would always score in the bottom corners of the net.

I'm looking forward to using the Brazilian and Argentinian leagues for a change.

Let EA Sports keep the 'arcade', fast-paced style of 'football'...

You take that back.

Seriously though, not as fun as PES2016?

Seriously.

The lack of attacking innovation by the AI teams doesn't help. Same shit as last year. Hopeful through balls, and dribbling into the box from the wing before passing it into the box and getting off a low shot.

Depending on the team, AI scored with headers after high pass in the box or corner kicks, conceeded 2 goals from outside the box, a bycicle kick, freekick and as well low shots.
I have seen a lot of variety in CPU attacks, this and better goal keepers are really nice.

Playing on full manual is the deal for me, brings back the "one more match" feeling like in good old PS2 days.
If the gameplay remains the same like in the Demo, PES 2017 is the best successor to the PES Series back in PS2 era.

Will be a day one purchase for me.
This time i am really hyped by the Demo

In here

Barcelona have a very attacking possession game, and they try multiple options (down the middle, through the flanks, long passes sometimes). Also, they pressure high on the pitch. Like, really high.

And here, a manual passing gameplay:

btw videos work on Chrome again, but they show a messsage stating "The youtube video API was officially deprecated on January 2015". It links to here https://developers.google.com/youtube/flash_api_reference

Can't say I've seen much variation in the games I've played.

I'm with Ali tbh, after playing a few games last night it seems as if every AI team is set up the same way. Like you're literally playing the same team just in a different colour. I managed to beat Barca 5-0 on Top Player after figuring how the AI works.

Hi folks just reading some comments PES-2017 sounds really good but as a PC Gamer only I'm really keen on the PC version Download.

Is there a chance now for a download link or in the coming weeks eager to try it.

From what I been told in comparison to EA FIFA 2017 is that I would be better off with PES-2017 for offline gameplay as its much improved in the A.i department.

Thanks waiting as patiently as I can for link.........

Unless they have recently changed their minds, Konami said that they were not releasing a demo version of PES 2017 for the PC. Your best bet is to convince a friend to download the demo on a console. It's on both this gen and last gen consoles.

Hmm. Conflicting reports and opinions.

Some of you say it's arcadey while some say it's more realistic and slowed down?

I really have to get around to downloading the demo when I have better internet connection.

The whole arcadey argument is completely subjective. As for pace, the game is definitely more slower paced than PES 2016. That is without any shadow of doubt. You definitely have to work the ball more and shooting is much more challenging due to the vastly improved keepers (on Superstar).

I haven't played a lot of soccer games, but this demo is the least arcadey soccer game I've played. And that's with only some game play options editable. I bet the full game will have even more potential.

I'm not any good as a PES newcomer, but it's a ton of fun!

Then be prepared for a lot of editing m8, because even though Konami claimed to have the complete Brazilian League in PES 2016, I had to edit all the player names of more than half the Brazilian league teams! Turned out Konami seems to forgot to mention that with “complete” they only meant the kits :s
